Flaunt Your Red Party

To join in on Flaunt Your Red hosted by Nancy at Southern Lady, I put my thinking cap on. But it only took a couple of moments to think of featuring my red coffee bar.

I have had it for about three years. It was one of those JC Penney put-it-together-yourself pieces I ordered online for about $200.

I don’t know what I did without this piece of furniture. I love my coffee bar. I have three coffee makers, a container of coffee in a sealed glass jar I picked up at Pier 1 to ensure fresh coffee. And two crystal jars of sweeteners.

Inside the doors I keep extra dinnerware. And coffee filters and other coffee must-haves. I had a piece of glass cut for the top to protect from spills.

You could take most any piece of furniture and turn it into a coffee or beverage bar. A sideboard, a dresser with drawers, anything you have that would fit your particular space.

Everyone loves to go over to this section of the breakfast nook and make themselves a cup of coffee. Because everything they need is right there.

Thanks to Nancy at Southern Lady for hosting this Friday’s edition of “Flaunt Your Red.” Because I just adore the color red!

  4. Well you know I love your coffee bar. We are serious coffee drinkers too and could probably use more than one pot. It’s so colorful and welcoming – I bet your guests really like that they can go there and not be in the way or anything.

  9. Hi and Happy Friday! I popped over from another blog and just LOVE yours. The bright red coffee bar and a great idea and I love the art work you hung by it! I’m looking through your older posts and really liking all your pretty pics and clever ideas!

  10. Wonderful coffee bar, Brenda! I like this idea!

  11. Brenda, I’m sitting here laughing at myself. I didn’t know about ths blog that you had. I stumbled onto it, and every picture I looked it, I was exclaiming “that looks just like Brenda’s —–(fill in the blank)! I continued to read down through older posts, simply amazed that someone could have tastes so identical to your own. Then when I saw where you’d knocked out a wall to let in the light, I started looking closely for this blog author’s name, and realized it WAS you. LOL! I was all set to e-mail and tell you there was someone with a blog enough like yours to BE you, which, as it turned out, it was.

PS-I think your tablescapes are fantastic. They are perfectly suited for your style, and very appealing!

  12. Love the red. With three coffee-makers, can I assume you have a large family?

  13. Love you RED coffee bar!!! What a great red piece!!! You have it staged so beatifully…I think I feel the urge for a cup of coffee!!!

    Have a wonderful FYR Friday!!!
    XOXO

  15. Brenda,
Seeing that I run on coffee this post holds great value to me. Love the red cabinet, did it come that way or did you have to paint it? You place is warm and cozy, it is always fun to visit your site. ~Cathy~

  16. Your home is just lovely! I love the red!(-: Do you have three coffee makers for a reason or just incase you have company? My husband does not drink coffee so it is just me and I just have the one pot. When company comes I brew a couple and keep a extra caraf in the cupboard for that purpose. My kitchen is teenie tiny! It will be perfect when the kids are gone but for now it sometimes gets annoying!(-: I love all your make overs they all turned out beautiful!!!!!(-:
Hey guess what? Its raining here!!!! Yahoooo!!!
I have been sick all week and the rain has made me feel much better(-: Weird I know…lol

  23. Hi Brenda,
I love your blog ! Next, I also love your table settings. Lastly, your entrance and back yard are just like they came from a fairy tale. Are their any openings there for me ? I have been mumbling about moving for so long to a place that is warmer.
I just found your name on my blog and I still can’t figure that Follower box out yet. But I will return and check your name.
    Love your place.

  24. Now THAT is a great idea! I would love to have that coffee bar in my kitchen.
