Abi loves to be photographed. On Mom’s red and beige quilt. On a couch just below another wall quilt of the same colors.
You certainly don’t have to look far to find red in my house. I adore the color red. I find it the most cheerful of colors. And I also have a quote that says “Red is a neutral” by Freddie Moran.
I liked this quote so much I put it on one of my file folders. In my red dish drainer.

Red chairs and cushion and a red and white bow-tie pillow I made.
Red basket filled with magazines.
Dish towel trimmed in red…
A red table in the bedroom where I keep magazines I haven’t yet read. This Newsweek magazine has a very angry-looking fellow on it with a red banner at the top. I think he’s a little “red” with indignation over something or other!

A red pillow on my bed…
Red ribbon waiting for my next craft project…
A red lampshade I’ve embellished.
And my red Adirondack rocker outside. Which, as you can see, needs a new coat of red paint.

Brenda, I love both of your blogs. The interior and gardens are really lovely. Oh, and by the way, I am so stealing, I mean borrowing your idea about the dish drainer to hold files, except I’m going to use the one my mom had when we were growing up. It’s yellow and rusty and I’m so glad I didn’t get rid of it when I bought my new red one for the sink.
