It’s another Outdoor Wednesday, hosted by Susan at A Southern Daydreamer. And this is my contribution for this week.
My house was a work in progress for over a year. Now the attention is being focused on my yard. I am showing areas that aren’t under construction!
Here’s a bigger view of the very back.
I like lots of color and whimsy in the yard, just as I do in my house. I can’t have chickens in this small neighborhood of garden homes. Here is the next best thing. Don’t have to feed it either!
I use a lot of containers, as I like the eye to travel up and down as it crosses this small area. Especially since it’s not very big to start with.
A virtually carefree flower, Portulaca.
I like to use old wagons to decorate with. Plop a couple of pots in there, and not only is it portable, but it gives a quaint, vintage feel to your yard.

Happy Outdoor Wednesday Brenda! You have a cozy backyard…and some great containers filled with beautiful plants! Thanks for sharing your photos.~ Susan
Quaint indeed. May I ask what the trailing vine plant is in the photo above the Portulaca? (round little leaves).
Beautiful Brenda! Do y’all have garden tours where you are? You should participate.
Hi Brenda,
How very talented you are, your garden is simply beautiful, I enjoyed everything, so peaceful looking. Thank you for sharing.

You are inspiring me constantly! Now I have to find and old wagon.
