About a month ago I was driving through town, and happened upon this two story house. I was so taken with this little patio section with the red Adirondack chairs, that I backed up and took a photo. Isn’t it cozy and welcoming? I can imagine having my morning coffee out there. Or flipping through a magazine.
At a local garden tour not long ago, I took this photo. I loved the little teapot fountains. An artist certainly lives here.
And here…
I am always seeking new ideas to incorporate in my yard. To create a little oasis of fun and relaxation.
Here is the yard of the house above. I love this pond.
In fact, there were several garden ponds at this house.
And a pool…
I could not believe all the ponds they’d designed and added to this same yard!
In my own yard, I like to add whimsical statues.
There are so many magazines and blogs and websites that give you ideas for your yard and garden. I like to have fun with the landscape. It makes me smile just to walk outside.

I love all the fountains! It must be a very calming place. I can just picture myself sitting there while sipping tea.
Have a nice day,
Sandra
LOVELY outdoor spaces! Nothing better than being outside on a beautiful day!
beautiful finds – I wish that I had the time
I have one fountain but would love several more. Or just turn the backyard into a pond. LOL Today I had planned to be painting my shutters but instead I’m in bed with a cold. Blah! I think I will blog about my pond. Have a great weekend.
Brenda, what I wouldn’t give to have all these water features. We currently have what I consider to be a weird unusable yard. It has dips and slopes that back up to a park. I would like to just take out all the sod and make stone patios and water features throughout. A little grass would be ok, but the trees we have would provide enough greenery for me. I need to play the lottery and win big moola so I can play out my little scenario…LOL
Take care, Sue
Oh, I LOVE the red door and red chairs. So cheery. And that teapot fountain is so creative! Wouldn’t it be fun to have one like that in the backyard?
Hi Brenda! Your yard is just as pretty as these! Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
be a sweetie,

My California childhood began in Berkeley. I LOVE artsy gardens! Just love ‘em. Ohhhh and ahhhs to this post!
Please disregard misspelled words
I’ve just stopped by for a quick visit. Thanks for all the lovely comments and I will be back to visit longer next time. Your house and garden are spectacular and such a sweet family of fur ones. Lots of love from the gang at 29 Black Street. xo, S.
ha! love the frogs!
Gorgeous water features. Can’t imagine utilizing all of them, but one would certainly go a long way in transforming our place.
Hi Brenda, Thanks for visiting my blog. I got my sidebar at Cutest Blog on the Block. There is such a great selection there and all for free, yipee! I’ll be bookmarking your blog and come back (so busy this holiday weekend) when I have more time to browse. Love the pics and that teapot fountain is so cute! Peggy from PA
Hi Brenda,
I love this post. I really want to start working more outside and you’ve just helped me along with that feeling. I love all the ponds and that pool too. So how’s the Hawaiian Chicken? Sounds pretty yummy to me from what you said. We’re having a breezy, just right temps here so far and I love it! Talk to you next week.

Oh, my gosh….what wonderful photos. I like the idea of taking pictures of all the beauty right in one’s own neighborhood or community like you’ve done in this post. The people who live at 522 sure know how to make a statement. The metal garden art and the two tulips make a great combination.
We like a whole lot of the same things. Now where’s your dust?
Nice to see Bonnie came out to be social! You know I love a bit of whimsy in my yard, too.
