It is Flaunt Your Red day at Nancy’s Southern Lady blog.
Red…isn’t that one of my very favorite colors? Oh yes, indeed, it is!
I will start with this red four o’clock. Remember those from grandma’s house? They don’t bloom till evening. Around here, that means about eight to nine o’clock at night.
A centerpiece on my dining room table. It has a red beaded placemat with other red objects.
A little red table I bought at a junk shop at the end of my bed. It already had the squares with cherries on it when I bought it. And of course that’s Abi there licking her paws. The mobile vet came to visit her today, along with the other pets, and she’s been rather excited. She never misses a photo op.
Also in my bedroom, a red chest I bought at Hobby Lobby a few years ago, where my TV sits.
Also in my bedroom, a little red shelf with plates.
A red bench sitting outside on the deck. (It’s just had the first coat of stain. So I haven’t been able to decorate out here yet.)
A vintage box in my kitchen with lots of dish towels in it. Many of them have red color. As well as the oven mitt laying on top.
A little glass bird from Pier 1 has some red in it. And so does the wooden plate I bought off eBay. It has red cherries. (I love red cherries, obviously!)
The centerpiece on my kitchen table also features lots of red. As does the vintage table cloth underneath.
Some little red books I bought at an antique store. They have famous poems and essays in them.
If you want to see more red, (and you know you do), please hop on over to Nancy’s
and catch up with other bloggers who are “flaunting their red.”

Hi Brenda, I LOVE your REDS!!!! You do love RED! Thanks so much for joining in the fun today! Nancy
Benda you fit right in with the flaunting party! I really love your little books. They are treasures.
Love all your red things but I especially love that red chest.
gorgeous reds – I really love the vintage box
i love four o’clock flowers! I have yellow ones and white ones with purple specks on them in my garden.
Oh, are those 4 o’clocks from the seed I sent you? Mine are doing okay, but not spectacular; I think because it’s still too blasted hot in the evening!
I didn’t think you had a tv in your bedroom. I KNOW how much you love tv’s!
OH I like your red! I really like the cabinet your tv sits on ( I love little drawers and fun places for storage – I know – weird!). And all your vintage red beauties! Very fun!
I love those old miniature, vintage books. I saw some the other day(they were green) and I was so drawn to them! Your are very sweet.
What gorgeous reds. All of your pictures are so pretty. Love them all. Hugs, Marty
I love red too, but you wear it better. (in your home I mean!)
Very beautiful reds Brenda!
Your tv cabinet from HL is spectacular.
The little shelf is adorable as well.
~Happy FYRED Day! ~Melissa
Hello Brenda,
Lovely and fun Red treasures!! It’s amazing to see how much red a person has in their homes. I should go take a peak in my own home and see what I can find…Your home is so Happy!
Deb
Great red stuff! I love a pop of red in a room
All the best,
Allison
Oh, those little books are soooo cute!
Oh, how I love your red! I am learning so much about ways to photograph. You have a unique way of doing yours and …I really like it. I’m so glad I joined in today. It’s always fun to meet other bloggers too.
Hi Brenda,
I absolutely LOVE all of your reds!!!! I can’t even pick out a favorite! I don’t really have any red in my home but I am working on changing that cause I LOVE it!!
Wow, all the red furnishings and accents make for a very cheerful decor. Thanks for sharing.
First, thank you for stopping by my blog. I am so glad you did because, I found your blog and I love it. I missed out on the Red Party, it is one of my FAVORITE colors! I will stop back soon!
Brenda, thanks for stopping by and you always leave such gracious comments. You are so right about going ahead and splurging every once in a while. My gorgeous Fitz and Floyd tureen came a while ago, and it just makes my heart sing. It is so worth the splurge. I think you should treat yourself too. I just love looking at it. Hugs, Marty
Thanks for the sweet comments you’ve left at my blog. Would you believe that the red and white polka dotted placemats that you said I was taunting you with actually have pilgrims on the other side? When I asked my mom to make them for me, I wanted them to serve double duty so I had a different fabric put on the back. I love all of your red accessories, especially the little shelf. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I’m liking the way you keep towels in a vintage box. It’s giving me ideas.
Hugs
I love red and yours are just great!!
Hugs, Lisa
Oh I love red! I love your red chest and that flower is so beautiful!
Blessings,
Sandra
I think that is one of th emany reasons I love your blog, those pops of red that are in your cozy little house make it all so inviting and interesting! Whimsical and fun!
I’m a fan of faded reds… the little books speak volumes to me
I DO remember “4clocks” (what we kids called them) at Granny’s little white house. For some odd reason, I always pulled out the centers & put them in a matchbox. Poor Granny.
You know I’m lovin’ it! The table at the foot of your bed – those are Mary Engelbreit Wallies (wallpaper squares). I have them on my kitchen walls, but mine have the white background, not black. What a great idea to put them on furniture!
I love the way you use red with colors you would not normally think go together, like the aqua in the old canning jars. Yet, you pull it off so well!
As soon as I saw your title I knew you’d have lots to show! Pretty things you’ve all around you.
Enjoyed cruisin through yioyr blog today, I have these same little books only in GREEN!, happy 4th, xoxo~Kathy
