It’s Three Or More Tuesday hosted by Tam at The Gypsy’s Corner. And Ruby Tuesday hosted by Work Of The Poet.

I have three or more…

Of these little ceramic jars. I bought these at Tuesday Morning a year or so ago, separately. I just put them together in this wicker tray. I store little items in my garden room like bulletin board push pins, etc.

Bobbins. I don’t know the proper name for these. I’ve been picking them up at junk stores for years for a few bucks each.

IMG_6427

Blue and white plates (one of my favorite color combinations) on the blue wall of my garden room.

IMG_6434

And sewing thread. I don’t know how many larger spools of thread I have in my sewing area. Which I don’t do much of these days! Sew, that is. I need to get back to that…

IMG_6432

And now for my reds. Oh, how I love my reds! Actually, now that I notice, I have the thread above on a red school desk…

Anyway, there is lots of red in my kitchen. I’m showing my red rug underneath my sewing machine table “kitchen island.” Sorry, I forgot I left a dish rag there.

IMG_6441

This red Bromeliad in a red pot. My husband had the Bromeliad sent to me for Valentine’s Day. And I planted it in this red pot. It’s one of those pots that looks ceramic but isn’t. Love those light-weight pots!

IMG_6443

A little red teapot. …Short and stout… This is my handle. And this is my spout… Oh, childhood memories that stick in your head.

IMG_6440

A red steel gazing ball in my garden. A word to the wise: Always buy steel gazing balls. You’ll save money in the long run because the glass ones are s-o-o-o easy to break. Don’t know how many I’d broken before I found out you could get steel ones. I’ve even heard of people painting bowling balls. Well, that’s another subject altogether…

IMG_6442

And this red folding table I bought at a junk shop already painted this cheerful color. It called my name right away and I snapped it up! It sits outside on my “soon-to-be-finished” deck.

Go on over and visit The Gypsy’s Corner and see who’s visiting Tam today with their trios of items to show you. And don’t forget to visit Work Of The Poet and see those splendid reds!

  1. Didn’t know gazing balls are steel. Thought they were all glass and I end up breaking everything. :-) Will have to look around for some. Thanks

  12. Hi Brenda. You know I love to look at your photos. You have great collections. :)

  13. I didn’t know gazing balls came in anything but glass! I did the bowling balls years ago, kept buying them at garage sales and made a border around a tree with them; cute and funky!

  14. This post is so pretty, Brenda!! Love the rubies and the three or more’s!!

  15. Great post, Brenda! I love your collections and your reds!

  20. Branda, please follow me to my new location, I’ll be adding you to my blogroll there sometime today!

  21. I love all the red in your house. I don’t have much in my house and I love red. I guess it’s because I have leaned more towards pink. I love the bobbins and the thread looks great displayed the way you have it. I need to get back to sewing as well.

  22. Very pretty colors in your house! Wonderful and fun post. Thanks for sharing.

    Christi

  23. I love that little folding table you painted red! Good tip about the gazing balls! In the past I’ve always bought glass ones (I don’t think I’ve seen steel ones for sale around here). I’ve always been on the lookout for a bowling ball at the thrift store but so far no luck.

  28. cute little tea pot! I like your three or more and ruby tuesday posts! be sure and check out my Thursday Tablescape, I am going eclectic and giving tips, of which you might want to add a few in the comments, you are so inspiring yourself!

  29. Thanks for stopping by! I am so glad you commented on the “red balls at Target”, as I forgot to make note of your blog so I can follow!

The ball my daughter was playing on was outside of the store. Several of the Targets we frequented when we lived in FL (up until 3 weeks ago), had several of these outside the entrance. When ever we would go, it was always a photo op!!!

  30. good tip on the steel gazing ball. your pictures of the reds are really, really pretty. I’ve read some of your posts and saw the photographs, they are really good. I’m kinda curious what camera do you use for this. Am thinking of buying myself a new camera but need to find some good reviews before i buy one:)

  31. I enjoyed this post a lot. Great pictures.

I too enjoyed the tip about the steel gazing ball. Wish I had heard it a few years ago. I had a wonderful purple glass gazing ball, which did really well until we had a bad thunderstorm with a microburst and the wind blew the ball into the rocks edging the bed where it lived. Needless to say it broke into a lot of pieces. I found broken glass there for several days before I finally got it cleaned up and I’m still cautious when I work in that area.

  32. Hello Brenda – You have a fabulous bobbin collection! I have one too – I don’t know the proper name for them either…I call them spools.

    Blessings,
    Marie

  34. Brenda, the Ruby slippers are on the witch under a door (the house fell on her) – it’s the ending of the Wizard of Oz film…Ha! :)

  35. I love your ruby red gazing ball! I’ve seen gazing balls used as a centerpiece for garden spinner. I think they’re positively dazzling!
