This was my project for today.
I ordered this Beckett container fountain kit online from Home Depot. It was under $30.
I went outside and looked around for an appropriate flower pot that didn’t have a hole in the bottom. This blue one was the perfect size to fit the pump and filter inside. I filled around the middle tubing with stones from the yard. Added water. Then decorated the inside rim with seashells, to help keep the water from spitting out of the flower pot.
It came with two fountain nozzles. But I found I liked mine without either of them attached. I’ll save them for a future project.
I arranged it here in my garden room with my plants. For they love a little humidity in the air.
I shopped the house for blue and white dishes to fill this old vintage pan.
The soothing sound of the water is about to put me to sleep!
It’s fun to create these little tabletop vignettes, and for very little cost. All I purchased was the kit itself.
I’m linking up with Claudia at Dipity Road’s Finding Beauty. And Cindy at My Romantic Home’s Show & Tell Friday.

YOu are something else girlfriend! So talented!!! It is GORGEOUS! I was just trying to clean up my family room today and make your candle arrangement like you have on your table with the river rocks on a tray….I was just hunting around for a tray and here you are having built a fountain! You’re AMAZING!
It is so darling and actually I have a fountain kit and was going to do that a few years back but of course never got “a round tuit”! You Go girl! Love it!!!!
What a great idea. I wondered how to do this. We have a tabletop fountain, on the deck, at the lake. I like yours better.
Happy weekend, Brenda!
I can see our outdoor fountains from inside and they are nice but I would love to hear the soothing sounds of running water while inside. Very pretty.
Very, very cool, Brenda. . . . I like this very much!
Hi Brenda Sweetie…
How beautiful this turned out. I love that you sat the container inside of the enamelware pot. So cute. The shells just make it all work so well.
I am going to have to check Home Depot and see about purchasing one of those darn kits. I mean it would give the grands something to play in right? I know it must be very peaceful.
Thank you for sharing my friend. Have a gorgeous day.
Country hugs sweetie…Sherry
Love that little turtle!!… and the water feature is very creative, and restful in a small space. Good work!
What a great idea! It turned out so nicely. Now I’m trying to think of a spot where I can put one. I love how the shells look in it.
Your little fountain is so pretty! I love the enamel bowl the pot is in. The plates around it is such a cute touch (love when you can use those “extras” for something). It really turned out so cute!
Have a great weekend my friend!
Manuela
very nice! love your ingenuity. I am sure it is quite tranquil sounding.
Your creativity knows no boundaries, Brenda.
That fountain turned out spectacular.
One of the best parts of my nursery job was making the water features. They are enormous fun, and really easy.
Jen
You are so cleaver!! I love it! How fun!! I have to wait until the little ones leave to put that in my house but that is fun! I will start collecting my goodies for it today! Enjoy your lovely one!
Hugs, Lisa
I love the fountain you made! Isn’t it so nice to hear that soft sound of tinkling water? Very relaxing! I made one that I call a “dirty dishes” fountain. It’s just one of those enamel bowls with a bunch of dishes in it. If you’d like to see it, it’s in my June 15th post. I’m thinking of making another fountain, for the front porch. Just need to decide on a “theme”!
Happy Weekend!
Carol
Really like your fountain. I keep saying I am going to get one, but never have.
Enjoy your weekend.
That looks like fun, Brenda, and it’s neat! So cute!
XO,
Sheila
I love it!
Wonderful idea, Brenda! Thanks for sharing.

Brenda,
I chose to have kids and homeschool…maybe one day.
I’m glad you like my vignette though, it was just a bunch of inexpensive stuff I put together.
I am SO frugal it’s not even funny! lol Every once in a while I’ll spend a nice penny on something that I just LOVE, but not too often. Most of the time you’ll find me at yard sales and goodwill!
I WISH I was a professional decorator…it’s my heart’s desire, but it just hasn’t been in the cards for me so far.
Hope you have a great weekend my friend!
Hugs to you!!
Missy
Brenda, that is fabulous. (I feel much calmer and cooler just looking at it.) I think this will be a great project for family due to visit. Thank you for explaining everything so wonderfully!
Sending my best, Karen
Hi Brenda! Oh, I love this! How cute! Now I think I need that pretty little cut glass lid you have sitting on it’s side!
Be a sweetie,
shelia
Beautiful and summery!
Happy weekend Brenda.

These things are always so intriguing. But I’ve never had the guts to try. ,-)
A little seaside garden & waterfall… such a sweet idea
Julia~
How nice, a waterfall inside. With the heatwave we are having that sounds like an idylic idea.
You are so good at creating beautiful vignettes in your home. Thanks for sharing them. Love the fountain idea.
This is just wonderful Brenda! I just love it! I need to have you come and decorate for me! I want your “feel” of your home…it is so inviting!!!!! I wish I had a spot to do this, but I don’t…so I will just coem over and enjoy yours!

I love how you put it all together and decorated it! You’re very creative.

Love the fountain! I just won my first (maybe only) BLOG AWARD. I am to share it with 15 people and I chose you as I really enjoy your blog, especially the WELCOME WAGON posts. Please don’t feel you have to participate, however, because as I understand it some bloggers don’t like to deal with awards. I felt I needed to try it at least once since someone was kind enough to visit my blog and share with me. See my blog to better understand.
Brenda … I love, love, love it!!! I’ll try not to copy yours, but yours is so cute. If mine ends up looking a little bit like yours, please forgive me!!
Love,
Susan and Bentley
xxoo
Brenda how in the world do you come up with such great ideas and then do them. lol
I love how you decorated this and then the pan underneath really adds to it. You should be on HGTV.
When I moved out here to this ole house for some reason my inside water fountains did not make the move. I don’t know what relative got them but no matter.
Ok Brenda you better quit putting your check up off with the throat.
I am too did this and hope that it does not turn up to be cancer. The doctor is more worried about the mass under my breast but I keep praying it is from the fall.
I feel bad always asking for you guys to pray for me but boy can I use them now.
I always look at your pictures of your family on the sidebar and pray for you and them to reunite. Is the nephew here below Jeff his son because I can see the likeness.
Think of you often and wonder what kind of project your doing.
Good thing you live on the other side of Texas I would have you so busy over here. hahaha
Love
Maggie

Oh, Brenda, this is soooo cute!!! I just love the relaxing sound of a fountain! And I love the way you put those blue & white dishes & also the different lids around the sides! You are so creative!!! Have a good week, Patti
Hi! I am new to your site and would like you to know I am enjoying it. I also read from Grandma with yellow hair said you need to go to doctor. Are you ok? Have you been? The reason I am asking my mother n law had a multinodular toxic goiter and they gave her radiation and she is doing great now. She had to stay away from children and pregnant women for a month, but that went ok. She lost thirty pounds and feels great. She has been blessed. I was wondering if this is what you have are you having promblems with throat. I havnt had time to look over all of your site but I will. I hope you get to feeling well, and I will pray that you do feel better if having a bad time with health. You have a very cheerful home. I like your rooling pins in the wooden bowl and your blue stuff. Your little yorkie kissing the other on the nose is too cute. May you have a blessed evening. Greetings from Silver Creek,MS
