On Monday I was in Hobby Lobby. They had their rubber stamps 40% off. So I strolled the aisles, looking at the deals. I always carry my measuring tape in the car, and found this piece of distressed furniture that I went back and bought yesterday.
Here’s the top. Isn’t it cute? Reminds me somehow of beach colors. It was marked down from $150 to $75.

It was just what I needed to round off my computer desk area. I have a glass desk with no drawers. A girl’s gotta have drawers to stash stuff in!

So I spent all day today trying to purge and organize.
I also found this little metal home sign for just over a dollar while at HL.

The last couple of times Hobby Lobby has had their rubber stamps on sale, I’ve managed to come home empty-handed. But this time I bought four.
A rooster, the suitcases stamp next to it on the third row, a kerosene lantern stamp, and one featuring vintage postage.

Of course I have some new blogs for you to check out.
Maison Decor is Amy’s blog. She is an interior designer specializing in window treatments and paint colors. She is a wife, mom, stepmom, dog owner and lover, gardener, tinkerer, secret painter and fancier of French Country elegance in design.
Adventures Of The Striped Stockings is Celia’s blog. Her blog started out as a place to have fun wearing striped stockings. But it has become a place to document her journey. Celia is enjoying being a homebody, gardening and creating a home that is warm and inviting.
Vintage Remixed and Faded Highways are two blogs by the same couple, who live in Georgia. They often take road trips. And when they do, they take the back roads and explore small towns. Where life is a bit slower and a whole lot sweeter. These two blogs chronicle their adventures and travels in Faded Highways, while focusing on vintage decorating with Vintage Remixed.
So have a great holiday weekend this July 4th. And when you’re too pooped to party, settle down in front of the computer and visit these nice folks who are new to our blogging community.

What a fun table! Hobby Lobby is just such a fun store with lots of good deals!
I’ve been trying to find a copy of the Romantic Homes magazine and haven’t been able to find one at any store!

Oh I LOVE that table!! I need to revamp my “summer” creative space. Winters, I use my garage, but I would melt in the summer. I just really enjoy seeing glimpses into your creative, cozy home.
My Mom and Sister have TONS of stamps. They used to go to stamp conventions. My sister used to work in one in Claremont, CA. Mom just boxed up a box of them and gave them all to me. I need a place to store them. Did someone build your shelf?
I heard we are getting a Hobby Lobby in Henderson, NV…so I will have to check it out. All we have are Michaels and Joanns…
The shelf/table is perfect. I love it’s shabbiness! And beachiness! Just love it!! ;-D
We have a glass desk in our office with no drawers~we probably have the same thing…drives me crazy.
Off to visit your recommendations. Have a great 4th, Brenda!
xoxo

Brenda, you have a huge stamp collection. I was in Hobby Lobby today, too and saw the furniture like that. I didn’t go near the stamps so I did not know they were on sale. Oh well, I don’t use them much anyway.
Hi Brenda…
Ohhh…I love your new table/cabinet, my friend! It’s sooo YOU and looks absolutely “at home” in your beautiful place!!! I love all the pretty colored wooden slats on the top and bottom shelf…it reminds me of the beach as well! Hehe! You sure got a great deal on it…I’m so happy for you, my friend!

Hi Brenda, just taken a peek at your ‘distressed’ little table. Here in the Uk it wouldn’t be considered ‘distressed’ but downright suicidal lol.
LOVE your new table – you always find the cutest tings — you’re such an inspiration to me .. Have a great 4th of July..
What a great table with all of those fun colors. Enjoy your weekend.

Hi Brenda! So many bloggers talk about Hobby Lobby and we don’t have one. Boo hoo!! Maybe there is an online shop. I want to say that you must have the largest collection of rubber stamps. Oh, and all of your ribbon … a creative girl’s paradise!! I’ll be sure to stop by and welcome some new friends and to you my dear friend, have a wonderful 4th!!
Lots of love,
Susan and Bentley

Your new table looks perfect in your house. I have never seen a nicer looking collection of rubber stamps. What a great idea. I’m curious to know if you have done a post featuring some of your stamping projects? I have been picking them up here and there, but afraid I’m not too creative when I go to use them.
Have a wonderful holiday weekend.
Brenda that awesome table was made especially for you! It’s perfect in your beautiful home. ♥
It’s perfect!
