It’s that time of the week to welcome some new bloggers.
Sweet As June is Hilary’s blog. She lives in an 1820s farmhouse in a village in New England. She just found the cutest dollhouse on the side of the road. (The side of the road, folks!) She is one inspiring “junker.” She also got a free piano on Craig’s List. And a great unique bookcase (free, once again) from a library that was closing. She likes to give “the old and worn” a second chance.
Days At Buttermilk Cottage is the name of the 100 year old house this blogger shares with her sister. The sister has the upstairs; she has the downstairs. Buttermilk Cottage is also the name of her business. She has a wholesale line of tote bags and knitter’s supplies. And also a retail line of “boutique bags.”
Cornbread Fed is a gal who’s had a tough time of it lately. She just lost her cat. This was the second family pet lost in a month. She is what I call “still a youngin” at 28, and most definitely needs a virtual hug. How many neighbors have I met walking the streets looking for a lost pet, who called out to me while I was standing out in my yard? Well, it’s the neighborly thing to do to try and help. She’s also one busy gal, as she’s been canning for the winter months. She just finished canning 16 quarts of tomato juice and 8 pints of apple butter. I can almost smell that warm apple butter.
So put your neighborly hat on and head out with The Welcome Wagon to knock on doors and say your “how do you do’s. Mighty pleased to meet you.”

You find the neatest blogs. I’m always intrigued by the names and often wonder how people come up with them. Days at Buttermilk Cottage is fairly obvious though.
Off to visit these new friends!
Thanks so much for your post and your kind, kind words! I hope I don’t disappoint.
I love your Welcome Wagon. I will be stopping over to say hi, I always do.
Some news. My son has made contact with his birth sister. The sister we were to have contact with after both were adopted and was blocked by her adoptive mother. Well, she was shocked. She was told her brother died of pneumonia. How awful, esp. since we have mutual friends. Have you had any news regarding your birth sibs. I think about you and them often. ((((HUGS))))
