You asked where the sewing machine table ended up. Don’t feel sorry for it. It has a place of honor in the dining room.
Here in a sunny spot with a colorful tablecloth thrown over it for fun.
I made some small changes in the kitchen as well. I should have known myself well enough to realize I would never be able to stand having different sized metal hangers on either side of the table. So I went back to HL this morning, while the sale was still half off, and bought the same size.
And I changed what was on the table up a bit. I have so little counter space that I took the knife set and placed it here. Gives me a little more room.
I had a dreadful time posting yesterday on Blogger. Did anyone else have issues yesterday evening? I like to never got it to upload photos. And I’m continuing to have problems with the spacing between the text and the photos. Anyway, have a wonderful rest of the weekend.

I’m in love with those eggs in that first photo. Your new arrangement is lovely. Doesn’t everything seem so much more cheerful and fresh when you move things around?

Brenda, I love the changes and I haven’t had any problems with blogger today or yesterday.
Oh I love your kitchen. I love the colors !!
I have just about the exact sewing table/ legs . My husband took the sewing machine out and placed a white mable slab top on the legs and I am using it as a “sofa table” right behind my sofa in the family room. I sit there now when I am on my laptop but want to see the TV, lol….
Thanks for sharing the pictures !
Pat
Very nice.
But why does it have a pan of dirty scrub water at its feet???
Looks even better than the first picture!
Yes, I had troubles last night too. I kept thinking it was something I did. I found a work around by loading the pictures on my desktop and then I was able to get them into blogger. I have a mac if that makes a difference. Who knows!
Oh Brenda Sweetie…
I just love it. It looks so inviting. I love the tablecloth, how very fitting it is. It just fits to a “T”. I love cherries so the fruit is right up my alley. I love the old textiles don’t you?
I also love that you added an emaelware pot to the bottom to sit. It looks beautiful there. Another place to layer some more. Maybe a few tablecloths or cloth napkins for a little color there too.
Oh isn’t it fun to rearrange? I could move stuff every week and be as happy as a clam in a shell.
Thank you for sharing with me sweetie. I just adore your make over.
Have a gorgeous day. Country hugs sweetie, Sherry
Great changes! That table from the deck is so pretty.
The hooks are a great addition.
No problem with blogger for me last night either…..
Great place for your table! And I love your island!
Yes Brenda i had a heck of time with blogger today and my spacing! Drives me nuts.
I love the sewing table with all the colourful pieces on it. It all looks great in your home.
Pamela xo
wow what a cute blog! Thanks for coming over to mine and please come back soon!
I just love these photos! ANd your kitchen looks out onto that great family room! Brenda, try Windows Live Writer…it is a program you have to download but it is much easier to do the posts and the photos can be any size you make them! Just goodle “Windows Live Writer:, you end up giving it your blog address and it loads the backround just like blogger! Try it I think you will like it! I have been usign it for about 7 months now….:)
Your kitchen is just gorgeous. I love that table as your island. I think it is just perfect, and the sewing machine table lookss great in the corner. So pretty. Hugs, Marty
You’re right…the sewing machine table will be happy in it’s new spot. Re Blogger–I regularly have problems with the spacing. I often have it how I want it but when I publish it seems to have a mind of it’s own. I’ve finally decided it does and it’s sometimes out of my hands!!!
Hi Brenda! Oh, I’m so glad your little sewing machine table found a nice place to stay! I love your vignettes. Do you cook in that darling kitchen or just play?
I love all of your sweet areas and the color! I love all of your color.
Hope you’re having a great weekend.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia
Oh my, I love your bright and colorful kitchen! Look at you, finding a great place for your friend~ Great little corner!
Love it all,
Nancy
Hi Brenda,
I just found your blog, via a comment left by Tracy (Ms. Bake-it). She welcomed me to Blog land, so sweet of her. Oh, how I like coming here! Everybody is so nice and supportive. She said she found me via you, so thank you for that, now I found you! (How did you found me all the way in Switzer-Blogland?) To me, your blog brings me back to the 2 years we lived in Texas. I loved it there! I follow your blog, so I am not too far away anymore. I have to catch some sleep now, it’s in the middle of the night here… Have a good weekend and if you have time, visit me on the other side of Blog land someday.
All the best,
Maureen
xx
Love your sewing table and I love the enamelware pot too! I have the same one only it has black trim instead of red. I use it in our laundry room to hold all of the soaps and other laundry essentials. I love enamelware.
Your kitchen is looking fabulous and if I may ask, where did you find that paper towel holder/towel rack that’s sitting on your island? I really like that! It’s very pretty.
Have a great weekend!
~Kathleen
What a fun, colorful kitchen you have, Brenda. It looks beautiful!
Have a wonderful weekend,
~ Jo
so cute! what a fun kitchen!
It looks grand there, Brenda. Light thru the legs will cast interesting shadows.
Deja vu… I picked up an old sewing machine like that somewhere, back in the late 70′s. And, tho I’m no seamstress, the thing still worked & had all it’s tools. Funny thing is, I’ve absolutely no recollection of what happened to it… or even the last time I remember having it.
Geez…
Oh such a cheery kitchen! So bright and pretty. ~ Angela
Brenda, you have the most cheerful home. I love seeing photos of your colorful accents. That bowl of rolling pens is great! ~ Sarah
Brenda, I just love your kitchen. Those rolling pins grabbed my attention immediately! I love collections like that. The sewing table looks great in that corner. Perfect size spot for it.
Hi Brenda!
Between my parents
having problems with
their internet and then
almost non-existant
internet at the beach
{except for the cyber
cafe} I’ve been soooo
out of the loop! Loved
catching up on your posts.
Your house is just so
SUNNY and warm; anything
you do to it is always
just beautiful. LOVE
the new island, but also
the sewing table, too.
I was at my aunt’s yesterday,
and she still has her
grandma’s sewing table.
I think it is just gorgeous.
You really have a knack
for making it all work
so well together, Brenda!
xx Suzanne
PS: I love Days at
Buttermilk Cottage, already,
and look forward to meeting
the other “new faces!”
Beautiful serving area, Brenda! I had trouble with the spacing on my last post, too!
I love your sewing machine table with a colorful tablecloth and a bowl of eggs and fruits…looked so beautiful!!

So nice to move things around. Makes everything fresh and new again. I did a bit in the living room when we first got back. Now I am just crafting and trying to get over jet lag. Have a lovely day.

Brenda, you are so lucky to be able to move furniture around in your house. We have a tiny “cottage” and there are only so many places in here were things fit so it mostly stays the same. And I LOVE to rearrange furniture! But, I guess it’s better for my back!
Your house pictures always make me smile. Love that little broom on the wall. Is it a child’s broom?
and the white cabinet next to it!
Actually, I like everything in your house and how you have such an eye for placement.
When will there be a magazine layout??? We all want to see your home featured!
Hugs! Diane
WOW!!! So darn cute! Love cherries myself and I love your tablecloth and cherry towels and great idea to put the napkins in the wooden box…my linen closet is brimming over. Just darling!

Your home is adorable. I would love to step right through the screen and into your kitchen to sit down and share a cup of coffee. (Okay, so I just invited myself over, I guess.
