I just met Jana, but am amazed at all the balls she manages to juggle in the air at the same time. For one, she teaches classes at her store in Arlington, Texas.
They are called “Build A Class.” You simply find a class you like, gather at least two friends to participate, and call her to arrange a time at Collected Treasures.

She had the opportunity presented to her to have her own free-standing retail store in the Developing Arts District of Downtown Arlington, Texas. Being a native of the city, she jumped at the chance.
She wanted to be a part of the revitalization of this district, which had seen better times. She says that if you are not part of the solution in life, then you are very well part of the problem.
The building was built in the 1940s, and renovated by she and her husband over a three month period. They took it back to the bare bones, and began anew.
She now has 3000 square feet of space where she also has a workshop and her studio.
Okay, that’s but one of her balancing acts.
She has just been published in Haute Handbags. And also in Somerset Home.

That’s great to hear about Arlington, as we used to live there. The downtown area had definitely passed its peak then, and it’s nice to hear that the area is being revitalized. We enjoyed our time there, and left because of family obligations in my home state of Alabama.
