I love these bird shots especially the one in flight. So cool.
so sweet, I have so many birds in my back yard… And I have a cat and he does NOT bother them he just looks… I wish you could see them together… He is really not a cat at all he would never hurt them. Of course hes not your normal cat thats why everyone love him so much It’s almost a freak of nature… I wish I could get in on tape…

Lovely post for a Friday Brenda!!
I just love watching and listening to birds too.
How wonderful you have created the perfect safe haven for them. I wish more people would!
I love your photography Brenda, it’s stunning.

Beautiful photos………. I love watching the birds, and am always excited when they choose our yard to nest and feed.
Beautiful. Amazing creatures God created for our pleasure. Your talent captures the beauty for us to enjoy.

Great shots! Have a great weekend.
These are THE best photos I think you have ever posted. And the subject matter just fantastic. Do you have a telephoto lens? You capture those birds like you are actually up in the tree with them!!
XO,
Jane
I am truly awed by the wonderful photos you get of the birds in your backyard. They are beautiful.
Tammy
I love my birds as well. Great pictures!
I understand loving your little bird friends because I adore mine, too. And the squirrels. I know some people think of them as pests, but I adore them.
XO,
Sheila
You have created a paradise for these little feathered creatures!
Your photos mesmerize me! Gorgeous. Just returned from your neck of the woods. A 14 hour drive. Exhausted. Think I’ll call it a night but glad I stopped by to see this beauty.
Beautiful photos!
What a breathtaking shot of the bluebird! Do you have a telephoto lens? It looks as if you could reach out and touch each bird.
Love your dogs-they look so sweet.
Beautiful bird photos, Brenda! Abigail and Charlie Ross are SO cute!
Brenda, I got back from NC on Wed. and am trying to catch up on my blog reading. Seeing all of your beautiful pictures from the past week just made me smile!!! The photos of your garden, yard, and the birds are absolutely lovely. You have captured such beauty in nature, my friend! What camera equipment ARE you using? I know whatever you’re using is secondary to your natural talent, that is for sure….. Amazing! ~ Sue
Well you must be doing something right Brenda because you have a lot of visitors! I hope I can get my yard going as well to invite all the gorgeous bird that you have. Only the squirrels seem to be eating my bird feed!
Love your bird houses and the flowers and the plants!! Beautiful photographs. Blue jay has such a vibrant, gorgeous blue! I love watching birds and taking bird photographs too.
Brenda, I loved this post
I have had a pair of ducks visiting my garden from the local canal all this week – oh they have cheered me – of course I have named them – lol! I watched all their little antics and have been thrilled as they have stayed for days – how lovely if they had this season’s family here! How I worried the night the fox came but all was well – yes I too watch the birds like others watch the soaps!!
L.x.
Birds are brilliant (except for crows and magpies who terrorise everything else in my garden). I heard a woodpecker this morning and yesterday a crane flew over all slow and majestic. I’m hoping the scent of our new dog will scare the squirrels so they won’t come and eat all the bird food. xx
What a pleasure it must be to just sit back and watch these adorable creatures of fur and feather in your yard.
It’s so nice that you appreciate the nature that you’ve surrounded yourself with! Those birds look so happy and content in their homes. Your yard and gardens are lovely, no wonder they’re all flocking to call this space ‘home’.
Who is the elegant black and white gentleman perched on the fence, head cocked to one side?
Your birds are beautiful! Their and your “nesting” habits are a treat to see!
Best,
Susan
great photos. I love watching the birds too, we live on the outskirts of downtown Baltimore and I am amazed at the gorgeous wildlife that lurks in our back yard. I have a huge mullberry tree that attracts all sorts of noisy birds ~ I love it.
Brenda, the bluejays are like the birds announcers that food is on the way, aren’t they! As soon as they see my husband, they start calling and before you know it, all the local birds are here in the trees waiting for the feeders to be filled. The chickadees are the first to venture towards him. Some have eaten out of his hand.
We don’t feed them from March 15th on until Dec. 15th though because here we have bears that LOVE birdseed and they destroy the feeders. Not to mention…who wants them so close to our homes!
Have a nice weekend!
Diane
Your pup has the kindest face. Yorkie? We had one when I was a wee child a hundred years ago.
Oh, great bird photos… saw my first blue bird yesterday outside my window, until 2 cardinals decided it was their tree and chased him away.
Di
Brenda, I simply adore birds! Bluebirds are my absolute favorites with their amazing color and sweet faces, but the cedar waxwings are a treat when they land in our pear tree and there isn’t a single bird that doesn’t make me happy. Did you ever see the post where Earl is holding the baby flicker? (it’s about 10 inches tall!) If you type flicker into my search box at the top of the blog I think it takes you to
the post. That was a treat! I had never seen one and haven’t seen one since!
I am a bird lover but unfortunately we don’t see very many wild birds around here, except for robins and sparrows. Several years ago I did see a huge male cardinal on my hedge, and he looked me straight in the eye (or so it seemed!). A real beauty. xo,
Many thanks for this post and photos. My Aunt died yesterday and as always, your blog lifted my spirits.
These are outstanding photos!
I love your blog and it is one I look forward to. Thanks for all the hard work you do!
Dear Brenda, you are so fortunate to have such wonderful winged creatures visit you and take up residency as they start their families each season. So peaceful to watch and your photos of them are lovely. Your furbabies must be a constant source of reassurance for you. Your previous post reminded me of the aluminum cups my MIL used to have when I arrived here to Kuwait. And I just remembered a dream I had last nite — must talk to my 15 year old son. He was introducing me to some girl as “Chickie!” Have no idea what that means. HA! Hope you are having a great day. Tammy
Hi there Miss Brenda.
Great photos! But in my heart – I love your little pups the best! To stinkin’ cute! What would do without them?
I should see about hanging a few birdhouses… no cats around here – they don’t last long with the huge coyote population we have. It’s so sad… I miss seeing kitties roll over in front of you on your walk to be petted. Nothing stroking something that is purring…
Wonderful post!
Have a great weekend! Karen
Your birds are my friends,I love to watch about their life!.
the focus and angle on the mockingbird is gorgeous
I just love your bird photography. The blue bird is amazing.
I love seeing you photos Brenda. It’s so entertaining to watch the wildlife outside. And you little fur-baby is so cute.
I hope your enjoying a beautiful Sunday. Hugs…Tracy
