I am a lover of words. I believe morning coffee is mandatory. I think red is a neutral. I feel most comfortable with a camera strapped around my neck. I believe the earth laughs in flowers. I catch the scent of them as I walk by looking for my next subject to photograph. And I pause to laugh with them...

The birdbath picture is stunning!!! Each picture is, really, but the birdbath just jumped off the page at me in its beauty. So glad to meet your daughter and wish I were in San Francisco
Hugs,
Mary
That bluebird photo is worthy of an award! Gorgeous photos, as always. Your daughter and SIL make a lovely couple. Blessings to you and yours, xo
Oh but we must be kindred. I LOVE this blog. Those blues lift me up every time. I hope you can hotlink to my I love blue pinterest.

If not, know that blue rocks my world! ♥♥♥
PS – where can I get those blue jars!!!??????
I love blue as well. It has always been a favorite of mine but just behind red. The ocean looks so blue in that photo of your daughter.
There’s just something about cobalt blue, isn’t there. My veterinarian uses cobalt blue bottles for Emma’s meds, and they are so beautiful I save them to use for other things. I can’t bear to throw them away.
Since you’ve been to my blog, it will come as no surprise that blue is the color that puts a spring in my step.
I was oohing and aahing all thru this post. Gorgeous photos, Brenda. And your daughter and her husband are such a nice looking couple.
Cobalt blue is my favorite shade of blue. Great shots.
Great shots! totally blue like the ocean and sky, is always my choice.
That is a lovely shade of blue…I think I am a red gal…
xo

BLUE! I’m drawn to it; can’t help myself, lol!

Love.those.jars!!! Cobalt is my all time favorite… I’m slowly but surely turning both our house and our vacation home back to a blue or at least a blue-influenced scheme after many years’ diversion…what was I thinking to have strayed??
Beautiful…I love the bluebird! Love seeing pictures of your sweet family, too!
XO,
Jane
Cobalt also grab my attention. It draws me in its restful hues.
Green is my favorite color with pink being my second favorite. However, I really love cobalt blue and other bright colored glass as the light shines though it. My aunt used to live in a house with a window in front of the sink and had a collection of this blue glass similiar to yours there. I always thought it was so pretty on sunny days, so I really enjoyed looking at yours today too. Saw your post from yesterday too, and I’m glad you are feeling better lately!
My favorite shade of blue, I think.
Gorgeous blues — my favorite color. But any bright colors lift my mood.
Very pretty.
OH, it is a beauitful color radiating through those jars!
That bird bath is lovely. No wonder you have so many birds in your yard! And yesterday I was so happy to hear your spirits have been lifted. We’re all so proud of you!
I love cobalt blue, it goes so well with our favorite red! Your daughter is beautiful, they look like a darling couple:>)
I’ve loved cobalt blue ever since I saw my first Noxema jar… eons ago. The trouble is, I always expect them to smell like menthol.
Lovely photos. I did something similar with purple a few posts back.
Beautiful!
Gorgeous blue pictures. I must say this is one of my favorite colors and my favorite to wear:-)
blue is a common color in my home… it’s so soothing.
I have smooth cobalt apothecary jars that I use for storage in my kitchen. I love cobalt blue the most. then red for touches of cheer!
Great photo’s Brenda especially the one of your daughter and her husband with the ocean in the background. Hmm…I really love green…always have. And if it wasn’t for the blue/gray floor in our kitchen I’d paint my lower cupboards a soft green. I like splashes of red too. My daughter collects blue glass like yours. I hope you’re staying cool down there in Texas.
Maura
Beautiful blues. My fave color is a blue more on the aqua side. But I love all colors.
Ha!
I quickly read the title to your post and thought it said, “OLD and Blue”!
Maybe that’s just because I’m in a funk today. Don’t read my INSPIRATIONS blog if you don’t want to hear me complain, because today is Wednesday’s Whine Day over there.
I love colbalt and red. But also pink, light blue and soft greens. I used to have all those colors in the same room.
I talked about you again todayon my Bunny Jean’s Decor blog… I posted a picture of the cutest little button covered sewing machine, and it made me think of you
Hope blogger is working ok for you today, not so much for me
xoxo Bunny Jean
Home to Wednesday’s Bunny Hop Party!
You know I have a PINTEREST board just for BLUE GLASS. Guess what I’m going to be pinning here. Love it, Love it, Love it. Perfect for my collection.
Love the blues! Your daughter is beautiful! You must be too! I love so many colors but it seems like the pinks/lavenders/purples draw me in when I hunt for flowers in the spring. I did a lot of red last year and enjoyed it, so I’m all over the charts!
Holy Cow Woman! You are one good photographer! LOVE that blue bird! WOW! I love cobalt too and used to have a LOT of it. I gave it to my daughter who hides it in her sideboard. What WAS I thinking? xo Diana
Blue tiful! I love blue. I think the only color I don’t like is ORANGE. It is ok in Fall , but after that, no thanks!
I love that blue, but I love so many lovely colors. That was a refreshing post.
Brenda
I’m sure you know my color is blue too
Blue does it for me; it just makes my soul sing. Maybe that’s why I love bluebirds so much? Thanks for sharing your photo of that sweet bluebird with us.
Blue is such a beautiful colour and i am starting to really embrace it! I grew up in a home full of greens so i wasn’t used to being around blue but now that i live by the ocean i find it so calming.
Beautiful photo of your daughter and her husband!
Red is beginning to grab my eye now days– and I love how it plays with the yellow and blue greys nicely.
But ‘the kid in me’loves the ‘lime greens’ and citron greens– although I don’t decorate with it much. Usually it is on my toes, my favorite T-shirt, flip-flops or shoulder bag!
~make it a good one, Pat
Love that shade of blue too. And add a bit of red and yellow and I’m in heaven!
Best,
Susan
Your daughter and her husband are a lovely couple and ahhhhh the blues, so peaceful
Blue is definitely my happy color too!
I love the jars, they are gorgeous.
xoxo
I am tickled to meet your daughter. Beautiful photo of them.
Blues…guess they will always tug at my heart, too.:)
I love the deep rich colors like that blue but I’m a true RED person with a touch of yellow. Your daughter is a very pretty lady and they do make pretty couple. Good luck on your new life.
This s a great ode to blue! Love that last shot and wish I could visit the west coast of our grand nation more often. Have a wonderful week-end!
I love the blue jars, and the bird is beautiful!
I truly can’t say I have a favorite color. My bedroom is done is soft green and a touch of pink. I love red because it is so perky, and I could go on and on. My kitchen is an assortment of color.
I love your blog, and just wanted to tell you that having that sense of peace is the most important thing in the world.
Joey
