I got my order in from Bev at 44th Street Fabric, and mighty fast, I might add. I just found these too precious to pass up.
Bev also has a blog at 44th Street Fabric. Talent for color combinations must run in the family. As her daughter has a lovely Etsy shop as well. She sells beautiful "dishy art" pieces at Gina M. Studio. If you like color, check them both out.
I cut and sewed 20 new Lollipop pillows yesterday. It was dark when I finally finished, so today I will have to turn and iron them. Then stuff and embellish. I will have them up soon.
Which made for a good day for me. I felt productive. And I am always happiest when creating. With whatever medium.
I also gave the poor dogs a long-needed haircut. But...I didn't do them justice. I can cut fabric, and as you can see, I should stick to that...
Here they are cuddling up here underneath my desk. Trying to keep one another warm, I suppose, given their short cut.
Abi...
Charlie Ross...
Poor things. Mama tried.
I need to fit in a bath for them. But I have pillows waiting.
Pillows from this fabric will likely be in the next batch after the ones I'm currently working on.
A dear reader who always manages to warm my heart sent me this today. She is a talented photographer with her own business...Vickie Cunningham Photography.
Love ya, Vickie!

Hi Brenda,
Can't wait to see those pillows -- love the fabric!! Your little pups don't look that bad at all. I take my Daisy to the groomer's as she's skittish about everything and I don't want to traumatize her!
Yes, that fabric is beautiful!
Hugs,
Kay
Beautiful Fabrics!
Adorable Doggie Haircuts!
. . . and excellent words of wisdom from Vickie.
Hope you're having a fabulous day!
What beautiful fabric - looking forward to seeing your creations. The doggies are lucky to have a mama who love them enough to cut their hair.
Keep on the sunny side...
Love that quote!! 20 pillows! Good for you, Brenda!! :)
Looking forward to seeing the new pillows. The pups look fine to me! Hoping this is a good day for you!
hugs, Linda
Lovely fabric and your dogs are great. I love Abi's ears.
Your pillows are so pretty and cheery!
I cant' believe you made 20 pillows yesterday. Gee, that might take me 20 days to do. I gave up on sewing years ago, it was never anything I longed to do, so decided it was best if I didn't. The puppies look so cute!
I love the photo of Abi with one ear down and one perked up at attention! As for the fabrics, they certainly are a sunny collection of beautiful colours and patterns. Twenty pillows! Wow! Your fingers must be flying, Brenda.

Aw... the puppies look cute and the cuts are not bad at all. I used to have a mini-schnauzer and I trimmed and bathed her myself due to the high cost of grooming. After a few times you will get better. I am so glad your pillows are selling like hot cakes!! Recycled men's shirts make good ones too!
I think they look pretty good, Brenda! Of course, I know nothing about grooming dogs, but it looks like you did a good job to me. : )
Brenda, It looks as if Charlie is whispering into Abi ear...talking about those haircuts:):) Pretty fabric. It's nice you can sew and keep busy. Thinking of you, smiles, Susie(She Junks)
I had to laugh outloud when I saw the sweet pups......you did good.....the look on their faces is what made me laugh. Like they were digusted, hah. I have cut my Yorkie inbetween hairdos. Sometimes it looks horrible, well most of the time. As long as they can see.
20 more pillows......wow you are moving along. Just don't let it stress you. Even though I already ordered one, I am sure we can wait for more to come. Love the new fabric.
Love the quote.
(((((HUGS))))
The doggies are so cute...the cut looks like a puppy cut. The fabrics are gorgeous! You are KILLING me with all these gorgeous pincushion pics! So cute!
Oh I adore those fabrics. I am glad you feel better today and I hope you can find a resource for your health issues. If you have insurance like we do then it is so expensive you feel the strain in other areas. It is an issue but not sure what the answer is. I say no foreign aid to other countries and help folks out here more.
I love that saying, it is so incredibly true! Do you think she'd mind if I used it on my blog?
They still look adorable!! Can't wait til you post the next batch of Lollipops...I missed the first ones:(. Have a blessed Sunday!
Those fabrics are fabulous Brenda! I bet those pillows will sell out lightening fast! The dogs are so cute and I think you did a pretty decent job with their haircuts! Wishing you a wonderful Sunday! Angie xo
Gorgeous fabric - can't wait to see those pillows. Love that quote! Hugs ~ Mary
Charlie is whispering to Abi, " isn't our mommie sweet, cutting our hair all by herself?"
I,m so excited for you that pillow sales are so great!!! By the time I figured out how to buy one they were all gone. I don't know why I can't seem to figure out how Etsy works, but I'll keep trying!
Many Hugs coming your way, dear friend, Maki

Great quote, and the doggies look as cute as ever! Love the fabric. xo
I missed the first batch of pillows, too. It has been a little crazy here and I haven't had as much computer time. I will keep checking back to hopefully catch them in the store. Busy hands and a creative spirit can do wonders for the soul. One day/moment at a time my friend. Patty
I love the pretty colors of your fabric! I find so much joy working with pretty prints! Enjoy your day! I'm sewing up a storm today! ♥
Brenda ~ the fabric is just beautiful. Such happy colours. I know what you mean about doggie haircuts. I tried to cut Mindy once. thank God Chessie is short haired. Well, that says it all ;-)
Love the fabric, can't wait to see the creations from those!
I see all the pillows in your shop sold so you have a great start to your business! YAY!
I have given my Yorkies haircuts too, and can not brag about the dogs being happy afterward. The last pic of your dogs looks like the one is whispering into the other one's ear, "Next time we make a run for it!" ha ha, It's the nail clipping that makes me run them to the groomers, just another expense. Your fabrics are so sweet. It has been good weather to turn on a little music and sit and sew.
Susanne :)
I love this blog of yours Brenda!!!and....I LOVE all your colorful colors for everything!!!and the doggies haircuts are beautiful!!We trim our own doggies too because they would die if we took them and left them anywhere...they are our big babies!!I love your pillows but am having a hard time getting on to the etsy page...Love ya!! Carol
I, too, get so much energy from doing something creative ... writing, decorating, cooking, moving furniture etc.
Fondly,
Glenda
This is my first time commenting. I found your blog a few weeks ago and have been catching up. I enjoy your blog because it is real. Nice to see that for a change! I don't know how old your dogs are, but with their new do's they look like puppies! Would they like to know that? Have a delightful day making pillows!
The dogs still look cute! Maybe you could find a groomer who'll let you pay in pillows. ;) Good for you for trying to groom them yourself. Quite a challenge, I'm sure!
I sure hope I hit your shop at the right time because your pillows make me giddy with happiness! I must own one (or more)!
((hug))
The dogs look great. I'd never take a dog to a groomer because I'd never afford it.
You must be able to stay focused to sew that long. I should send you some of my fabrics-they'd turn into something other than a collection.♥♫
Those fabrics are gorgeous. Ummm...you may have to use some to make some doggie coats so those babies can warm up. I saved that fabric site to my favorites. She has amazing materials. I am glad you had a good, productive day. xo Diana
ps. If you get the chance pop by my blog and sign up for the new word BLOVE giveaway!
Love the fabrics but love your sewing machine even more.. What a treasure that is!.. Your babies are absolutely adorable.. I have 7 furry kids so I guess you could say one of my most favorite things in the world are dogs.. Thanks for posting about your babies today. It was just the smile I needed :)
Robyn :)
Those Riley Blake prints are adorable. You're going to have some sweet pillows. Congratulations on selling out of your first batch.
Do something that makes your heart sing, Brenda, you deserve it.
So happy that you had a happy, productive day! Your sweet little dogs have such strange expressions on their faces. It's almost like they're insulted. This is so funny. They must be wonderful company for you.
Love the puppy pics! I'm allowed to chuckle because I had a hair cut today too:@)
oh fun fabrics......the puppies look pretty cute to me!
Brenda, Glad you're feeling better today. Wow! Twenty pillows in one day and 2 doggie haircuts? You are productive! It's amazing what a difference one day can make in our moods. I just did a blog posting on Friday (celebrating my one year blogging anniversary) and I pinned the same exact graphic about courage on my posting and I almost sent it to you and then here it is on your posting today.
You have been in my thoughts and prayers.
~Sandy
Hope I can snap up a pillow when they are listed! :)
The dogs are adorable! I think you did just fine!
The dogs look great!! I cut my dogs hair as well.
Love the fabric, and what you are doing with it.
Keep on going....
hugs
Oooo! great colors for your new pillows...I'm all about bright colors and I could easily see these colors on my sofa..
Have a wonderful evening..
shug
Your babies are cute ...I commend you for their hair cuts. Who knows; punk rock for dogs may become trendy!
you know I'm kidding... I do love the colors on your fabrics. They look so cheerful.
Pat
Thanks for the kind words, Brenda! I found that quote on Pinterest, so anyone is welcome to use it! Glad you had such a productive day, and I think the pups look lovely!
Brenda, you are very brave and such an inspiration! You are not letting anything stop you despite all you are dealing with!
The pillows are darling. And so are the pups. I wish you peace. xx
Your dogs are too cute, Brenda! I'm so glad the etsy shop is doing well!
Your fur babies look adorable; I think mama is pretty amazing. Your inspire me, Brenda.

hahhaaa....those little doggies are sooo cute. Just precious.
The cheery fabric is delightful. I can see some darling pillows made from those.
What a great saying. Love it.
Gorgeous colourful fabric and your little dogs are so sweet xx
They don't look that bad. ;)
Way to go on all the pillows.
Your pups look adorable Brenda..they must be very good company for you..I will be watching for your new pillows as I thinks the last ones were so bright and cheerful..keep sewing up a storm sweetie..remember..each pillow that you make will help to cheer you up and then will do the same for whoever buys it..Hugs!
Brenda, I can totally relate to doggie haircuts. I, like you, made a valiant attempt at clipping my Shorkie today. He looks much better than he did, but not a professional job by any means. Somehow, I know he loves me for trying...just like Abi and Charlie Ross love you.
Can't wait to see the new pillows. You sold out of the others so fast I didn't get a chance to order. I'm going to try again this time.
Take care...
Hi Brenda,
I love the way your babies look, and I think they would have liked you giving them a haircut instead of a parlor person. All that love and attention from their Mumma.....fabulous.
p.s your cushions are beautiful.
God Bless
Barb from Australia
I think Charlie Ross and Abi are still just the most adorablea and sweetest! Our little terrior hates hair-cuts! LOL oxox
