Oh Brenda, she’s lovely. Nice to meet you Miss FW!
What a great snag Miss B! I’ve always wanted a Featherweight. One of the most stupid decisions of my life was selling my Singer 99K at a garage sale in 1983 for $15. ARGH!
xoRebecca
Brenda I have a featherweight too. It was my father’s older sisters. She was like a mom to him, at 16 yrs his senior. She was my favorite Aunt. She gave it to me when I was in my 30′s because she knew I loved and collected antiques. I had not yet begun to quilt at that time in my life, and never even tried to run it!! Then….fast forward a few years, and I started quilting and going to classes. I noticed so many women were using these beautiful machines. I went straight home, dusted her off, fired her up, and then took her for a servicing, and she has been my faithful workhorse since!!! I do all of my piecing on this machine! What a wonderful find for you, with the white one!!!! May you have a long and industrious life together!!!!
Happy Sewing!!!
Kris
Congrats on your new baby! She’s a beauty.
Wow! That’s great! I just had to pass one up in a local shop for $500. I’ll probably live.
She sure is a cutie for sure. That was smart of you to prepare for a back up ‘just in case’. I remember when I had to take my Husquvarna in for repairs, I was having withdrawals without my machine. I’m sure your new little featherweight will turn out some cute creations.
What a wonderful find, I have my Mom’s black featherweight and I love it, I didn’t know they came in white, I would have snapped it up too:) Hugs and happy sewing, Marilou
She is lovely.
She is a treasure and white too! I love my FW … they are really heirlooms to me
Happy Sewing!
Hugs,
Donna
Brenda,
I had a black one and a white one when I lived in Maine. When we downsized, I gave one to my niece and sold the white one. I was always sorry…Last summer while poking about I found a black one in perfect condition. It now lives with me in the cabin during the summer. They run like a charm and the stitch is perfect!
Congratulations on your new acquisition!
Carol
Congratulations on giving her a new home! I know she’ll be happy passing the hours away with you and making your beauitful creations.
Brenda honey I am so happy for you getting a new toy. This looks like one everyone would love to have around.
You are really going to be sewing things up now for your shop.
Have fun. I miss you
Love
Maggie
Isn’t she lovely, Isn’t she wonderful, Isn’t she precious. Yes, I can hear Stevie Wonder singing to your cute white Featherweight! And she is all that, what a great addition and I can tell already so loved.
I wondered if you had a backup. She is wonderful……you should name her. Are they less complicated than the new ones. I can’t even thread the bobbin of the one I have.
Sweet ride Brenda.
I love her too-especially cuz she’s a unique white color. I have my Mom’s old black FW and I love it! Good for you to get such a great find on Ebay!
Hi Brenda, Your new little white Singer machine is a great addition to your home and your business.. I’m so happy that you won the bidding. Sometimes bidding can be a nail biter..
Have a fun time creating with both of your *toys*. Did you do the happy dance when you won her ? You should have !
Wishing you happiness always, Charlotte in Va.
Yay for you! That seems like a great price for everything! They are such great machines! Hugs, Linda
She is lovely Brenda. I have a white FW too and love sewing with it. I think the small size takes me back to my childhood learning to sew on a small toy sewing machine. They are wonderful little machines. I can imagine you sewing some little owl pillows with it right now.
Danielle
What’s most important is that you love her! I happen to think she’s kind of special too.
Gretchen
I, too, could hear Stevie Wonder singing! Congrats on your new addition. She is lovely, indeed! xxoo
How wonderful you were able to snag another one! I’ve never seen one that is white(?) You’ll enjoy having a backup.
I knew they came in different colors, but had never seen one. Good for you! I’m glad you now have a backup.
What a nice addition to your family!!
chris
Too bad they didn’t make ‘em in red, huh?
Congrats! I’m blessed to have a Centennial model and a 1947, both black. My ultimate one would be the free arm 222. Makes the machine that much more versatile..but oh, the price tag–ouchie!
Congratulations! I know that you will be very happy together.
~cathy
Good luck with your new “Sew-lebrity Apprentice”! Money well spent. xo
She is so pretty!
Great buy! I have seen them offered for a lot more money than you paid..considering you paid less than $300 including shipping and repair. Not perfect? None of us are…that just makes her all the better-
I have always wanted one for myself~xo Diana
What fun! I’ve thought about getting a small sewing machine for our condo! I miss sewing!
Hi Brenda! She’s a pretty one! Now I want one!
Be a sweetie,
shelia
Well yes, I love her.
She is a pretty one.
I use my Mom’s FW sometimes. I am old so you know it is old!! hahaha
The FW is beautiful. You may have a bargain! We were in an antique mall a couple of months ago and saw one in pristine condition for $600. I did not touch—just looked! Hope you enjoy it.
Good to have a back up machine just in case the other one needs to be in the repair shop. Those old Singer machines are the best. Have fun!
Susanne
she IS completely lovely! I want to curl up & snuggle with her! so very pretty! lucky girl!

She is a beauty, Brenda! I just ordered my new sewing machine the other day {and got a confirmation today that I should have it by the 25th}. Mine is just too tempermental lately, but my hubby is going to look at it for me. I’ll keep her as a back up. My new one will do embroidery as well, which I’m really looking forward to playing with. Although, I expect I will be spending a whole day in front of it with the book!
I love sewing machines even though I rarely use mine. Good for you!
I like your new blog layout. At first, I thought I had clicked the wrong link.
It is new, right? LOL
Tresa

Awesome! Congrats!!!
How nice…and she is very pretty.
I’m glad your black Featherweight has a new little sister to share the load. I think you got a great deal. I bought my Featherweight on EBay also——–she is a gem.
Oh my… this is just wonderful!
♥Sharon
Brenda, she is most lovely!! Happy Sewing!! xo Heather
OH MY!! You are one lucky girl. I love it!! Enjoy!!
Hugs, Lisa
Oh, she’s pretty! Congratulations! Twyla
Oh my goodness gracious! She’s gorgeous! I couldn’t believe my eyes! You lucky duck!
May the three of you ( I’m including trusty black) have nothing but joyous sewing adventures together.
Hi Becky!
She’s a beauty! I have one that is a light minty green that I need to have some repairs on. You did well to bring your blond baby home for $300!
Warm wishes,
Carolynn
Brenda! what a wonderful deal. So glad you found her and got her to the shop for a ‘spa- treatment’ and she’s home now…
You will take care of her– and she will work hard for you. The perfect partnership…
~Pat
Congrats on the your new Singer. Reading along about your passion for her makes me want to go out and buy one. Problem.. I do not sew.. LOL So pleased for you. If you get a chance come by and visit me I am new to blogging and would love your visit.
Hugs,
Cindy
AWESOME. Enjoy.
So happy for you. She is a beauty. Maybe you need to give her a girl name, and give the black one a boy name. Something fun and old fashioned, like Ward and June Cleaver, or Popeye and Olive Oyl. Anyway, I am not a very good seamstress, but, this makes me want to get out the sewing machine I inherited from my late mother-in-law, and try to sew a straight line with it. I really admire people who can sew.
She is very pretty…wish I could find me one…I been wanting one so much…Have a great day…with love Janice
She is a beauty Brenda!! Enjoy her!
What a darling little machine! I love the white color. I have never sewn on one of these but I would give it a try in a heartbeat. Enjoy Brenda:>)
Brenda, I am so happy that you have found this sweet machine!!
Sew today, heart is happy;
Machine is sewing fast & snappy!
And your soul is oh-so-happy,too!
Sew less, heart is aching.
Start sewing, “Wha’cha makin’?”
And as you know, that’s strictly up to you!!
Brenda, she is lovely. I’ve never seen a white one. You have inspired me to look in my shed to see what kind of sewing machine my mom had. Hubby found it at my mom’s house when she passed and it’s been sitting in my garden shed ever since.
Aww, she is a cutie! The old machines are really the best!!
