I knew from the moment I found her to feature on Welcome Wagon Friday some time ago, that she was going to be extra special. And special she is. I’m speaking of Kathy from Kate’s Place.
She is the queen of garage and estate sales. And somehow it seems that everything she touches turns to gold.
I’m really surprised a magazine hasn’t knocked on her door. Look at that light-filled kitchen, so inviting and organized.
She can take something simple and turn it into something extra special, and always on a thrifty budget.
I am in awe of her talent. She makes her home look ever so cozy.
And oh so elegant with her muted tones and smattering of color.
I have often thought, is there anything this woman cannot do or will not tackle?
And I dare say there isn’t.
She can arrange a vignette with the greatest of ease.
And make a great use of an old mailbox to hold things in her kitchen.
You are aware of her talents before you even knock on her front door.
Ah, oozing with charm. A cottage style garden.

I thought of you last night. My neighbor came over and she had a broken foot. She cannot manage crutches so she bought one of these “knee scooters”. She is in a cast for 8 weeks and can’t get around in her house with a wheelchair well. Once she gets the cast off she will be in a boot and continue to use it for relief and for comfort. She told me you can buy them for $70 used and plans to resell hers, or rent it. You may have heard of it, but I used to work in ortho, and it was the first I had sen it. http://kneewalkercentral.com/
