The other day, Judy drove me to Swan Lake. It’s in the middle of town. And what a joy. I envy the homeowners surrounding this gem.
There were terrapins. Is that what these are called?
And the swans are so elegant.
Such a lovely place.
Relaxes me all over again just to look at the photos I took.

Swans are such magical birds! I always feel like I’m in a fairy tale when I sit and watch them.
Natural beauty….that says it all! What a beautiful place to just ‘be’! And how wonderful to have good friends to spend time with!
I find places like this very relaxing! Sweet photos!
Sweet Pictures!

Oh what harmony and beauty! WOW.
Awesome pictures, and I am SO GLAD you got out of the house – the weather is finally so cool and nice. Hate the heat and our summer was way too hot.
Beautiful, Brenda! Thank you for this!
Brenda, I am so glad you have a new and wonderful friend. I have been praying for you to recover , all brand new girl. Smiles, Susie
Life has been keeping me away from blogging of late — I’m glad to hear that you are getting out and about now. Best wishes, Tammy
These are beautiful! What graceful, regal creatures. I never realized until we were visiting England a couple of years ago that Swans were wild migrating birds. I guess I always thought of them in fairy tales. When were traveling through the south of England in Hastings on a long stretch of country road a Swan flew very low right in front of our car to the marsh on the other side of the road. It was huge!!! Scared us half to death but what a magical moment that was.
Good to hear you are out and about now. Hope the weather is being kind to you as well.

So nice for you to get out and see these beauties…
We have a Swan lake here, but it’s not quite as picturesque.

Your photos turned out just beautiful. Really calm and relaxing. Too bad we couldn’t find those crazy cows!!
Judy
beautiful place. Thank you for sharing.
oooh, what it must be like to live along that lake!
So nice of her to take you there. Everyone needs a nice day out to enjoy nature. Great shots.
What beautiful swans!! We have a small lake about 10 minutes away and there is one swan there. I often wonder why she has no mate. So glad that you were able to get out and about.

It is one of the prettiest spots in Tulsa. I love seeing old pictures of people ice skating on the lake back in the day.
Brenda, you saved the best for last! Picture, that is. Of all the beautiful shots you took, the last one is my favorite…wonderfully peaceful. I hope you don’t mind but I printed it out for my bulletin board.
Brenda ~ what a beautiful place to visit. Very relaxing to just sit and watch in peace and harmony with nature. I love to go down to the lake and visit the swans, they are just so elegant. Your special place seems to be a perfect place just to sit and be still. A healing place. I hope you get to visit that special place often ~
