Tomorrow’s the big day. Many of you already have your mantels decorated. I found 10 mantels from www.digsdigs.com to spruce yours up in case you want some new ideas.

I like the idea of using bare branches, which signifies fall. The hydrangeas, and the blackboard idea with a message for the season, all complete this holiday scene.

Another one with the window, surrounded with light colored pumpkins at varying heights to add interest, and keep the eye moving up and down.

Frames are big right now, and this one surprises you with the pop of the red lantern inside.

I like the simplicity of the lined up brown bottles with THANKS written on them. And the background framed document sets the stage for them perfectly.

This one has a bit of unexpected black, which looks crisp against the white background.

Having the wall just above the mantel painted orange is a wonderful accent. The eye goes right to the mirror and the scattered pumpkins. And better yet, dining in front of the fireplace. Ultra cozy.

A simple antique dough bowl with fall gatherings inside, flanked by a mirror. Very simple and elegant.

The framed silhouettes just make this mantel scene. One would assume it is the faces of the family living there. What a great idea! The rest of the mantel is decorated simply so the focus goes to the silhouettes.

A big round mirror over the mantel is always a scene stealer. Adding pops of orange and gourds and pumpkins elevated on books makes it all more interesting.

Which mantel do you like best?

  2. They’re all gorgeous, but my favorite is the one with the window and the little pumpkins. Have a beautiful Thanksgiving celebration:-)

  3. Hi Brenda,

All of them are very pretty, but gotta go with Kris, above: love Mantel #4 for its natural elegance, cozy autumn hues and the clincher: what else? The RED lantern on a ledge in a frame – so 3D and delightful!

    Happy happy Thanksgiving to you!

  4. I do love me a good mantle! Hard to pick a favourite but the one with the orange wall really pops! Happy Thanksgiving! :)

All of the mantels are beautiful in their own way, but I love the one with the little red lantern. You know us girls and our love of red ! That mantel has a bit of everything that depicts Fall.
The red lantern would be cute in a Christmas wreath too.
Have a peaceful day with your babies.
    Hugs, Charlotte

    • Thanks, Charlotte, I will. Just got home from PT. Have one more week. That red lantern seems to be everyone’s favorite. Guess we girls love our red!

  6. I like the first one best, and the last one is in second place. BTW, I gave you a shout out on my blog today, thanks for being my BBB (best blogging buddy)! Mary

  7. I like #2 because of the champagne chiller. Also that round mirror in the last one is pretty but I have a thing for mirrors.

I really like the first one, I see red in there on that mantle, and there’s yellow walls. Two of my favorite colors together! You’ve outdone yourself again with these postings.

  9. i love that orange wall. I hope you have a great thanksgiving!

  10. not sure what digdiggs is but the first mantel is mine! Have to check it out, it is a year or two ago’s design.

  11. Ha! I could never choose just one. I love all of them!

  12. Hi Brenda~Mantle number two is by far my very favorite for the sweet verse she wrote on her little chalkboard~so sentimental I wanted to cry when I read it…but really they are all so nice!! Thanks for sharing these today!Happy Thanksgiving Brenda!! Love ya! Carol

  13. They each have something that I like.

Hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving Brenda!

  14. Love them all. There’s something in each one I like!!

    Judy

  15. Each has elements I like, but overall I like the second one with the branch and the fourth one with the gourds in the wooden box, the wreath and the lantern. I like assymetrical balance, and they have done a good job of achieving it.

  16. Hmmm…is it assymetrical or asymmetrical? Or something else??? I don’t have spellcheck or can’t figure out how to use it on this little thingy I’m using. Whatever, I think you get my drift. They “done did” it well. ;-)

  17. Happy Thanksgiving! Love the beautiful mantle inspiration!
    xx
    Anne

  18. Brenda, I like the last one, the black mirror and orange colors! Happy Thanksgiving:)

  19. if you lived closer you’d be joining me for a piece of that pie Brenda….or the whole meal if you’ll stay. I think that little red lantern in the frame is so sweet. All the mantles are special!

  20. I love the look and varied style of each one. Mantles are so flexible, ….wish I had one. (sigh)
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
    Patti

  22. Brenda ~ I love the dough bowl mantel. How homey, simple and just beautiful.

    Happy Thanksgiving to you.

  23. The one with the RED lantern….gotten love anything with red in it.
    Happy Thanksgiving, Brenda.

  24. Well, I really like ALL of them-but #3 really grabs me and is quite different from what I would do. I also love the red wall with the brown bottles spelling out Thanks. Great ideas-xo Diana
