Dainty Little Teacups

Last week I was on eBay looking around. I love teacups. This cute little trio I bid on and won for .99 cents. Of course there was shipping and handling that brought the total price closer to $10. But still in my eyes a good deal.

This one has cute little pink and purple flowers. Very delicate. I see a lady at a garden meeting or book club raising this sweetie to her lips and sipping oh…Earl Grey.

Then there’s this white one that would fit into anyone’s decor. I like that it’s rimmed with gold. A nice accent. I see a woman in a restaurant holding it, while listening to her husband talk about work. Her little finger raised ever so delicately above the little hole that within the handle.

And this last one has yellow/gold daffodils with pink.  I see a woman sitting at the kitchen table at mid-afternoon, having a cup of tea while doing the newspaper’s crossword puzzle in the quiet hours before she begins supper.

There is not one chip or blemish on any of these three teacups and saucers.

Too bad the shipping bumps the price up. Still, a good deal.

I think you have the beginning of another collection. Your new tea cups are so nice and so different.. I love how your imagination wandered with the tea cups and to their “maybe” users. Isn’t it fun to imagine and also remember where we’ve acquired our various collections.. I love Ebay !
I think my favorite one is the pink and purple one.. I would enjoy a cup of lemon tea in that one~~~~with a sugar cookie on the side..
    Have a happy Saturday.

  15. Brenda,
I gave you a shout out in my latest post! Once again, I am so sorry that I missed the feature!

  16. Three lovely teacups, $10. The opportunity to use your imagination and create a sweet story — priceless! Thanks for sharing with us.

  17. Beautiful! I saw some teacups at TJ Maxx a few days ago but they weren’t appealing to me. My first thought was that they looked so new, without history.

  18. Beautiful. We have gone the way of mugs mostly in this house, and I think I may need to change that. My eighty-four-year-old mother insists on her tea and coffee in a china cup and saucer, so she has one here. I think I’ll adopt the same! C

  19. I like how you’ve come up with a story for each of those teacups. Lovely! Best wishes, Tammy

  20. Brenda they are so cute!!! Good price too.You don’t need drainage with paperwhites.
You can put them in any container you want.I bought mine at the christmas tree shop for $2.99 a box.The soil came with the paperwhites. You can put pebbles if you want. They are so easy to grow too.

  22. Brenda, I tried to comment on Cozy Inspiration tonight, and got the message “Access Denied” with a spammer’s comment afterwards. What gives?
