Farmhouse Decor Continues

I wanted to show you what I got in the mail yesterday. I ordered these “tucks” from Brenda at her Etsy Shop. She has The Rusty Thimble blog. They are for filling bowls, or doing whatever you choose with them.

I “tucked”them in this estate sale bowl with some vanilla potpourri in my living room.

They were very reasonably priced, and oh, so cute! Goes right with my new barnyard/farmhouse theme in here.

Setting on my decoupaged table next to a recliner.

  1. I was just wondering the other day if you still had your lettered balls and today they show up – along with your new tucks which are just perfect with your farmhouse look. I think the sheep tuck is my favorite, and I love the colorful backing on them.

    • I’ve been looking for a sheep to go with my cow on the mantle. A ceramic one, whatever. Couldn’t find one anywhere. Judy went shopping out of town and looked, and she couldn’t find one either. So I saw these and knew I had to have them.

  8. I love the look Brenda. What a cute collection you’re gathering.

    • I’m rather liking this look. Remember when adults would tell us kids: “What? Were you raised in a barn?” I would love to refurbish a barn and live in it now!

  9. Those look really great, Brenda…love the graphics!

  11. Maybe I will spell correctly this time. I just had to attempt this to make sure how to do it. I have wanted to comment on a few of your posts and just was not seeing where or how to.
Thank you again Brenda I am so glad you like them and thank you to your readers for their sweet comments as well

    • I’m sitting here in my easy chair with the laptop right where I can see them. The vanilla potpourri smells good and the tucks look fantastic!

  12. Those look so cute in your farmhouse collection. You’re going to have to get a barn if you keep up. ha. Looks really great.

  13. Your rooster picture and the “tucks” remind me of toile fabric. I bet there is some barnyard print toile out there somewhere. For a sheep, maybe you could find one from a nativity scene. I’ve spotted nativity scene people and animals at thrift stores before.

  14. Brenda those are really cute! I love that bowl also!

    hugs, Linda

  15. Cute! Especially with the red checked backing. I think I like the sheep the best!

  16. Love the barnyard theme you have going. It is so “farmhouse”! Jean

  17. Adorable. Perfect for your new theme :)

  18. Love the farmhouse tucks!! I won one of Brenda’s giveaways a while back and got to pick out 6 of her pillow tucks…love her work.

  19. The little tucks look so cute in the bowl…I have to check out this shop. You are well on your way to the farmhouse look!

  20. Brenda ~ your little tucks are adorable and that bowl is to die for. I am drooling over it. Love your farmhouse ~ barnyard theme ~ so cozy. I’m heading over to check her tucks out now ~ Have a great day

  21. Brenda, I am enjoying the farmhouse theme you are using. It is my favorite look, you sure have found some stunning pieces to incorporate.

  22. Those are very cute, Brenda! I love them in the bowl with your potpourri. I like the idea of them all grouped together. “Tucks” are the perfect way to describe them, since they seem like you could tuck them in anywhere!

  23. Charlotte MacDiarmid says:

Brenda, I just love to see you decorating in the “farmhouse style”.. I think it says “welcome home”, apple pie in the oven, biscuits and gravy, fried chicken and mashed potatoes.
I sure wish you could find a barn somewhere close to Ethel. Wouldn’t you two have fun then ? I hope, that someday, you’ll find that cow and I hope it will stand still for you to take its picture.
I think the “hunt” for things we things we like and want (not necessarily need) is so much fun.
    Have a happy Sunday.

  24. How cute these are…and you found the perfect place to put them.

  25. I love those. Farm animals seem to be all the rage right now. Of course the red check trim makes them perfect. I finally have electricity again. I sure missed it.

  26. Anne Boykin says:

Hi Brenda, The sheep are my favorite too. I’ll check out her etsy shop. Everything at your house always looks so sweet and yes, cozy.

  27. Brenda, those are beautiful! They look great in the bowl. You really are getting a farmhouse feel going at your Cozy Little House! If you ever see anything in my little art Etsy shop (there are a few sheep and cows to be found), give me a holler :) … Donna

  28. Very cute! I love that decoupaged table!

  29. Yes, I was going to ask about that decoupaged table. Did I miss a post on that? Did you do it yourself? Oh, I wish we could plop you down in a charming barn with the Yorkies and see what you would do with it! But your cozy house is full of lovely little groupings, arranged with love and a darn good eye.

  30. Hi Brenda,
There isn’t a corner of our home that isn’t bursting with coziness and charm. What great little trimmings.
    Thanks for sharing, my friend,
    Carolynn
