Out Of The Blue

Ah, just had my morning cup of coffee in my favorite yellow mug. I feel renewed after that one cup.

Today I am honored to be featured at Jennifer Carroll’s blog. Here is the link…

Celebrating Everyday Life

Jennifer is an inspiration to me, and quite talented. Take a moment to look through her blog. You won’t be disappointed.

Another very unexpected thing happened to me yesterday. When I got home from physical therapy, there was an email from my daughter. Out of the blue.

I think you all must have had some part in this, for the timing is so fortuitous. So once again I thank you all for your well wishes and constant support of me. For your prayers and emails and comments.

I share this flower with you as a token of my appreciation for all you do. You mean the world to me.

See you tomorrow for Welcome Wagon Friday.

Oh Brenda, I was so excited when I heard the news that she’d sent an email. Life works in mysterious ways, doesn’t it? I just love that first cup of coffee in the morning out of the pot! I’m sitting down to pay bills for November, but had to come here first! I can’t wait for you to be able to go on walks in the neighborhood again w/that camera of yours and take those beauitful pictures you’ve posted before.

    • Oh Annette, I can’t wait to go for walks in the neighborhood with my camera again either. I keep thinking about how much I loved it!
      Brenda

  13. Brenda,
So happy your daughter contacted you. It is a start.
I love your sugar and creamer set. White with red at top of the page. Do you have any idea where I could buy one? Thank you!

  14. Hi Brenda,

What a fantastic day you are having, my friend!! I truly believe, with all my heart, that all your devoted blogger buddies put their energy and positive vibes together for you, and voilà!

  15. YAY!!! So happy to hear this news!! I hope you get to see your grandchildren very soon also.
    I love my Keurig too!

    • Starbucks now carries the K-cups for Keurig. I ordered some from Starbucks.com. If you like Starbucks, you’ll love these. Yes, love my Keurig!
      Brenda

  16. I am so glad your daughter emailed you. When everyone is praying for you I think God honors those prayers-not always in our time frame though. Blessings- xo Diana

  17. Martha Ellen says:

Brenda, I am drinking my tea (not a coffee drinker) and reading your good news today! So happy for you! Go slow and the doors will open! xoxo ♥

  18. I could not have read anything more important today Brenda. I am happy for you:}

  19. Brenda, I can’t believe you went without your coffee while you were on the mend. Great feature on Jennifer’s blog.

  20. Smiles :) Glad to hear the good good news : )

  21. susie @ Persimmon Moon Cottage says:

Always enjoy seeing the colors you use in your home. So cheerful and cozy. Pretty yellow mug. I have a big old smiley face cup with a broken off handle. My daughter asked me why I didn’t throw it away. She bought other, cuter coffee cups for me. But I still like it. It reminds me there are still things to smile about, even though ….whatever is going on at the time.
I was happy for you that your daughter reached out to contact you! I knew that all of the good thoughts and energy everyone was sending you (and your daughter’s) way would make a difference.

    • We have things that we love, even though they may not be perfect any longer, that remain special. Only we know why. Funny how that works. Enjoy your mug with the smiley face and broken off handle.
      Brenda

  22. Oh Brenda…I am just catching up on your posts. I am so sorry this happened but today there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel. Hoping things work out well.

  23. I have learned from my life lessons.
What I know for sure; “Give your worries
to the Lord, and he will give you rest.”
It’s true, it’s true. I have learned to hand
them to him in prayer, and then let go. When
my mind wants to wonder back to them and try to
fix them…I have to tell myself, out loud sometimes,
to leave it alone and “let it be.” Works every time,
not necessarily in my time, but His perfect time.
    love, love

  24. Brenda, so happy for you. I am glad you left it for her to approach you. It is like I said, people need to process events like this and when they have (it can take a while) they usually decide on a course of action and then start the repair process. A good day indeed.

  25. That’s wonderful news, Brenda! And how sweet of Jennifer to do a post about your blog… I couldn’t agree with her more!

  26. Oh, I know what you mean about that first cup of coffee in the morning. I’m not a happy camper if something interferes with mine. So glad to know you got the email. How’s the PT coming along?

  27. Brenda, it is so good to hear you are happy and having a good day. I know you have been through the ringer, so it makes my heart glad to hear you are smiling! Yes we do pray for you.

  28. I check in daily to see how you are doing – and so glad to hear that you heard from your daughter.

  29. Karen in Texas says:

Great Out of the Blue News !! God performs miracles on His time not ours. Look at this as a chance to start over – fresh – as you said “life is too short not to have coffee” and it is too short not to be surrounded by our children. (I gotta add though – the Good Lord blessed me with two sons – never had to deal with any girl drama !!
    Hugs, Karen in Texas

  30. Wonderful News!!!! Yesssss!!!!!

  31. What a wonderful, heart-warming thing to read when I checked your blog today. :)

  32. Hi Brenda! Oh, this is good news!
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  33. Fabulous!! you are deserving

  34. Brenda, I am so happy for you. I hope you can work things out, and now is the perfect time to do so. This Thanksgiving you both will be especially thankful for each other. God bless you both.

  35. Brenda~ such wonderful news. Keep positive thoughts and hopefully everything will turn out well. On a side note, don’t you just LOVE your first cuppa?
All my good thoughts and prayers are going out to you and your daughter ~ stay well my friend

  36. Good things happen to good people! I am so glad your daughter is getting in touch with you. I might have missed a post…has it been awhile since you have seen her?

I am happy to report that I have cut my caffeine consumption by half…that’s so good for me and I’ve eliminated sugar and fat filled cream cold turkey! SO…like you, I REALLY enjoy that first cup!

    XO,
    Jane

    • Yes, it’s been months. I’ve cut my coffee consumption in half most days. (Well, you know some days you just need a little extra help to start your day…)
      Brenda

  37. Praise God, Brenda, this is such wonderful news. You just made my night. I am happy for you with this start. I pray that you two will find that comfortable spot where you can laugh and enjoy each other and all of that other girly goodness. I’m wishing you only the best, my friend, the very best.

  40. May blessings rain upon your relationship with your daughter.
Please come visit me at my new blog.

  41. I am SO glad to hear that your daughter has reached out to you! :-D
    ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  42. I am so happy that your daughter has contacted you. It usually just takes one small step, and then another follows, and suddenly, all is good. As the mother of four daughters,(and one son) I can testify that “girl drama” can be overwhelming. But the bottom line is that you are mother and daughter, you love each other beyond belief, and it will all be well. Blessings

  43. A great cup of coffee, a recognition for your blog, and an email from you daughter. What a great day!

  44. Thankful for coffee! I’m thinking about investing in a Keurig, can’t decide. I’m glad you heard from your daughter :)

  45. Good things are happening! Expect them, Brenda. Maybe even someday a little house by the sea if that’s truly your heart’s desire. I remember seeing your coffee bar in your former house and wanting one like it–and I don’t even drink coffee! But my husband does and I love the smell when he gets his going in the morning. We have a cabinet full of coffee mugs in his search for the perfect mug. He loves your yellow mug!

    • Well, he has good taste! I love the smell of coffee. Years ago, when I was pregnant, I could just drive by a place that had coffee brewing like McDonalds and get sick to my stomach. I didn’t start liking coffee till the last ten years.
      Brenda

  46. wonderful! The door is opened for healing this relationship. Praise God!

  47. HOORAY, HOORAY,HOORAY, a wonderful feature and you heard from your daughter. I am so happy for you.

  49. Oh, Brenda…I am so very happy that you have heard from your daughter. Sometimes when we least expect it….Good things happen! What a wonderful way to begin the weekend for you and…frankly, for me, too.
    Blessings and friendship,
