This week after physical therapy, I decided to drive down the road to Utica Square and go to Pier 1. It is really my favorite shop there. And I found this little Sugar house. It was $5. Sold!
It was just so cute.
I’ve chosen this as my favorite thing this week. I’m linking to Claudia’s A Favorite Thing at Mockingbird Hill Cottage.

It is adorable and a good price for sure! Hope you are having a great weekend Brenda! Hugs, Linda
Thanks, I just couldn’t pass that sweet little house up!
Brenda
It is so cute. I love dishes with words on them. Have a good weekend, Brenda. Deb
I love dishes with anything on them! Now I’m into teacups. Probably got that from you.
Brenda
I don’t think ANYONE could have resisted buying that. It is so darn cute!
Brenda, I think I let out a squeal when your sugar house popped up. How adorable is that? I love it:)
You and I both love that Pier 1 stuff.
Brenda
Brenda what a sweet little sugar house! And a steal too!
xx
Anne
I probably couldn’t have got that much cheaper at an antique mall/thrift store. Or at least I tell myself that!
Brenda
Cute times ten! I enjoy all your cozy touches and am amazed at what an eye you have for selecting perfect accents to your darling home.
Blessings, my friend,
Carolynn
Hey, you do pretty darned good yourself!
Brenda
Now THAT is a cute little sugar house….much better than a sugar daddy! Stay sweet- xo Diana
I’m sure you’re right!
Brenda
I LOVE that sugar box! I would have snatched that up too. I love Pier 1, but I rarely buy in there. It is too pricey. But they have good sales.
Good find!
xo Kris
I don’t buy much stuff in there. I did get a white platter the same day for half off! I don’t pay full price unless it’s less than $10, and I really really like it. And that’s usually a treat for getting through PT.
Brenda
Adorable! I can see why this sweet little sugar house is one of your favorite things!
I smile every time I walk in the kitchen and see it.
Brenda
Oh my, so cute! Just another thing for me to want at Pier 1. Abby’s home and working there this weekend, and I’m using every bit of self-restraint to keep from going in the store and doing a lot of damage
This little white house would fit perfectly in your adorable kitchen. And wouldn’t do much damage at all…
Brenda
Definitely worthy of being a favorite thing!
Thank you! I thought so.
Brenda
I love Pier one too! That store in Utica Square is such a pretty location! Was there a few years ago shopping and fell in love with the area! Cute as a button sugar house!
I’ll be happy when I can walk all around that place. But most of the stores are WAY out of my price range. A pretty place to go though.
Brenda
That’s darling! Love your red coffee maker too, so much fun.
Red and white is one of my VERY favorite color combos.
Brenda
Ah honey, honey! You are my candy girl and you’ve got me wanting you …
that’s the first thing that popped into my head when I read your post title.
Cute little sugar house. Hope you have a lovely weekend. Tammy
That’s what popped into my head when I thought of the title!
Brenda
That’s really cute Brenda. Some days it just takes something little to make us happy. I’m the same way.
That’s what I say. Just a little something…
Brenda
It’s a real treasure and looks right at home on your coffee bar.
Not too big. Doesn’t take up much space. And gives a little extra accent to it.
Brenda
The little sugar house is lovely! We need a treat now and then, do we? Have a nice weekend. Regula
Yes, just a little something lifts our spirits.
Brenda
Hi Brenda, I love me some Pier 1 too! Your sugar house is adorable!
I could go crazy in Pier 1 if I had money. But then I wouldn’t have the room to put the stuff, so that’s out even if I won the lottery. I seem to be magnetized to the cooking/dishes section of that store.
Brenda
I love your little sugar house, Brenda. What a great buy
If it had been over $5, I’d have passed. I think…
Brenda
Very cute – a sugar house in a cozy little house.
Thanks for joining in this week!
Hey, that works! A sugar house in a cozy little house. Sounds like a fairy tale.
Brenda
LOVE the sugar house, but here is MY QUESTION: I couldn’t help notice that you purchased it in UTICA SQUARE! Does that mean you live in my hometown, Tulsa? Or is there another Utica Square somewhere?
I do indeed live in your hometown of Tulsa. As of just over a year ago. Do you still live here?
Brenda
No, my Daddy was transferred to Houston back in 1957 (when I was 13!), when Tulsa quit being the “Oil Capitol of the World” and thousands of oil company employees were transferred, mostly to Houston. I’ve been a Texan for 55 years(!), but part of me is still an Okie, and I still have family in Tulsa.
Where did you live before, Brenda?
By the way, while you’re around Utica Square, I think if you drop in at Fleming Shoes (a really great shoe store with all kinds of comfortable and therapeutic shoes), my cousin Angela, the owner, will give you a discount if you mention my name!
Good morning Brenda, I’m so happy that you’re out driving yourself around. I hope your PT went well.
Now, you need a cute container for “Honey-Honey”. I really like your cute little “Sugar” bag. You have the cutest assortment of decor in your kitchen and entire little “abode”..
Stay cozy with your “babes” and enjoy your weekend.
Hugs, Charlotte
Thanks Charlotte. You too. Yes, it was nice to drive myself somewhere and just browse for a few minutes.
Brenda
It’s cute! I love that store too. It’s one of the few stores that sells colorful items.
Hey, I hadn’t thought of that! But you’re right about the colorful items.
Brenda
That sugar house is a cutie patootie and would have come home with me too. I also love your adorable red coffee maker, but then you already know how crazy I am about red! Have a fun weekend.
Big Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
I have not been into Pier I in many years. The wee sugar house is adorable Brenda.
Visiting via MHC. Your photography is really lovely! Enjoying past posts and becoming a follower.
That is so cute! I am trying to see what you put in the clear jar behind it. I have one of those but never did anything with it.
