Oh so beauitful, Brenda. How is the walking going? Have you been able to venture out into the neighborhood? We had a cold snap here last night. Feels like we’ve gone directly from summer all thru what should have been our fall season to now very cold.
Walking not going so well. They told me Thursday at PT to take off the brace and try to wean myself from it and the cane. And to wear sneakers that tie up. So this morning I’ve been outdoors spray painting. Have had ice on my ankle twice already. Hurts like the dickens. I try to do a little at a time. But my walking is just so limited. I yearn to get out and walk the neighborhood!
Brenda
Beautiful pictures Brenda. I’m loving this time of year with all the fall colours too. Enjoy your fall colours
Thank you, Marianne. I so love to take them!
Brenda
Beautiful pictures, Brenda. The yellow roses are lovely, and the trees covered in bright gold are stunning. There is a poem comes to mind, I need to look it up, that speaks of the way every tree becomes a bouquet at this time of year. I hope that your ankle has healed to the point where you are able to get out and enjoy all of the loveliness there is right now.
I can walk a few minutes. Then it hurts too much. Frustrating. I don’t dare get out and walk the neighborhood because one thing would lead me to walking just a bit more to photograph something else and I might not make it home!
Brenda
I just love your gold. Our fall color is just beginning around here. How is the PT going?
Slow. Maybe I’m just in too much of a hurry. But it’s been over four months! They’re telling me it may be a year or more. I was outside for a bit and now am sitting with ice on it.
Brenda
Gorgeous fall photos!
Thank you, Mary! What is fall looking like there?
Brenda
What beautiful photos Brenda!
I just take the photos. Mother Nature provides the scenery.
Brenda
I just took pictures of my roses in bloom along with my Azaleas, and my Candy Corn plant!! Is it Spring or Fall?? These pictures are breathtaking!!! Thanks. Take care, Kendra
Thanks. I guess during the winter I’ll have to splurge on a few grocery store bouquets to keep me going.
Brenda
Gorgeous yellows and golds.. and the rose.. sweet!
((hugs)), Teresa
Funny, the leaves are gold because of fall, and the yellow/gold roses are from summer. Still have both around at the same time!
Brenda
This is a nice glowing post today. I’m sorry to hear (above) that the walking is difficult, but I guess it must take time and practice for everything to get strong again. Good Luck!
Thank you. I must learn patience. And, they keep telling, let the pain tell you when to stop.
Brenda
Hi Brenda! Such beautiful pictures you posted today..I love Fall..soon all we will see is white everywhere…we have snow in the forecast for tomorrow here with the high temperature of only 34…today is just beautiful 74 degrees…beautiful Fall day!!soon you will be out and about and this injury you had will be only a bad memory..never to be thought of again!!! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Love ya! Carol
I so hope you’re right, Carol! I’m counting on it.
Brenda
Such lovely fall colour in your photos. Isn’t Nature wonderful! It’s sunny here today, but cooler – we had frost last night and the dahlias were all black and droopy this morning so I spent some time out in the yard.
I hope your ankle heals quickly and thoroughly.
Thank you, Lorrie. Nature gives us this beauty and we just have to capture it.
Brenda
I’m so sorry to know that your ankle still hurts so much. Wish the healing would speed up where you could get out safely. Even with all of this you still find the prettiest things to photograph for us.
Well, photography is my passion. And it feeds my soul.
Brenda
OMGosh- I forget that you are so much further South than I am. Here all the leaves are gone and the only gold is in the fillings in my neighbor’s teeth- xo Diana
You’re too funny!
Brenda
Oh my word, what an absolutely stunning post, your pictures are GORGEOUS!
Thank you, Michele! You CAN take beautiful photos without learning a thing about manual settings.
Brenda
Brenda, I’m sorry your foot is hurting so much when you try to walk. After all this time you have to feel so much frustration. Each day you should hurt less just a little maybe but walk down the sidewalk so many squares then the next day one more square then turn around and come back. That way you will know you are getting a few steps better each day. Be sure to take your cane just in case you need it. Any chance of you sewing again soon? I just loved your pillows and hand towels.
I’m hoping to get back to it. When my right foot doesn’t feel such pain. I am frustrated. I get depressed because I want to do more. More. Walk around the block. That is my goal. To walk around the block.
Brenda
I noticed the trees actually have a bit of color here. Not just brown. You know how it is in Texas. Sometimes we just don’t get beautiful displays of color. Green one minute…and naked the next; with carpet of brown leaves covering the ground with the first big gust of wind.
So…a little gold and red is a welcome sight. Plus…I’ve got roses blooming and phlox too! Crazy weather.
Always enjoy your photos, Brenda.
~ Pat
Gorgeous color! The leaves are pretty much gone in Michigan with the exception of the fruitless pear tree in our backyard.
Brenda, you have a lot more color left than we do! Hurricane Sandy took most of the remaining leaves off of our trees. Beautiful photos. I’m going into the annual funk that I always do at this time of year… a combination of the colder weather and the fact that it gets dark around 4:30… Longing for Dec. 21st when the days start getting longer
Have a beautiful Sunday.
Donna
Love your kiss good bye to Autumn.
- The Tablescaper
Lovely pictures of fall! I love fall roses!!! And golden leaves are darling!
Hugs,
These are beautiful photos, Brenda. You have really captured the essence of Autumn ending.
Hugs,
Laura
Brenda, your pictures are always beautiful! Really hope you can continue to take small steps in the healing process of your foot. Glad to hear you have focused on a goal. Please know we are thinking and praying for you everyday to get there.
Take care,
Emily
What beautiful yellow roses. Absolutely gorgeous.
