A Few Holiday Touches In The Dining Room

A jolly fat Santa stands under a cloche on my table.

I’ve added a few holiday touches to the vintage ironing board.

A little glitz on every table top in the dining room. Oops, forgot to move my hazelnut fragrance spray I so love.

(Frugal shopping hint: These sweet sweater trees are $6 at Target, regular price. And they’re pretty tall.) I was thinking of making some. But have you seen the prices for those styrofoam trees at the craft stores?

I’ve just blended Christmas decor in between my other things, to add a bit of cheer in every room. And so one area isn’t completely saturated.

Brenda- I love your sweet Christmas touches around the house. I really like the sweater tree-you could hardly make it for that. My favorite, of course, is the Santa under the cloche-xo Diana

  6. Everything looks so cute, Brenda! The nice thing about adding decorations here and there is that you don’t have to clear out space and pack your regular things away. Great job…I love the Santa under the cloche!

I left you an email the other day but I think it was under your old address.

Love the Santa cloche, too, and the tall Santa by the dishes. All the Santas are wonderful, of course, w/the red everywhere! You always make it look so cozy.

  14. I love the mixing in with everyday things. I have tried to do more of that to. I featured your post from last week so everyone could enjoy it. I could just not figure out how to fix the picture. I wish I knew how to do that. I can go in and fix the links but not the picture. I am so sorry that happened.

  15. Brenda- love your blog and pictures. Could you tell me what a sweater tree is? Thanks

  20. I like all of your holiday touches, especially how you put some things under glass. I know what you mean about the price of styrofoam. I had to buy some awhile ago for a craft project and couldn’t believe how much it was!

  21. I have the same church under the dome and one with a snowman too. Recently I found a very small one with a tree and a snowman. I too have just put christmas around the house and put up some lights around some glass jars on my bar that loverlooks into the den. it all looks so nice.

  22. Love your Christmas cheer…it all looks so festive…love your taste in decorating.

  23. So pretty Brenda! I put up my decorations today and my house looks lovely too!

  30. Hi Brenda,
I am a night owl tonight. We lost power for three hours last evening and I am playing catch up getting my weekly post up and running.
As always…always…I love all your RED touches throughout your cozy little house. You’ve added so many fun arrangements. Your lamp shade with all the lace and buttons is spectacular. Thanks for the heads up on Target.
I hope you have a great week, my friend.
