I’m always wondering where I laid the dish towel when my hands are wet. Judy and I were at a junk store a week or so ago, and I ran across this old pan lid. $2.50. Sold! I knew immediately what I’d do with it.
It took a little drilling (I only have one bit and it didn’t seem to be adequate), and some hammering with a nail. But finally I got a hole through it to hang it on the kitchen wall.
It’s right where I need it. And I can find my dish towel!

What a cute and creative idea!
What a charming way to hang your dishtowel. I love it!!!!!

It is oh so cute. Love the red towel, too!
Brilliant!
Love this, Brenda ~ such a great idea! Happy holidays to you!!
I can’t believe you only have one drill bit, how do you manage we have about 20 and still can’t find the one needed, it’s always to small or to big, not a bad idea .
Merry christmas
Merle…..
That is a cute and clever idea, Brenda. Merry Christmas to you.

Brenda, I love it when people repurpose items. I was scanning the blogging world and came across a pot lid that had been painted with a snowman face. If I had all the things like that that I’ve had in my lifetime I could start a store.
Love your blog, love your photos, love what you have to say. Happy Holidays.
Peace, Plenty & Good Health
Love it! nice job! Wishing you a Merry Christmas.
Hi Brenda! I will be looking for a lid just like that now when I go to the Flea Mkt…what a great idea!! You need to write a book on refurbishing and make it your own..I would buy it in a minute and be thrilled to have it..you and Judy could write it together and share all your wonderful ideas with others!!! Thanks for sharing!! Love ya! Carol
You have such great ideas Brenda! Love the new colourful header! Wishing you a peaceful and Happy Christmas.

Genius!! You clever girl, you! Merry Christmas.
Thank you for letting me know I have plenty of tea towel racks. Have been buying the lids for years. You know, enameled spatterware, lid only. 25 cents at junk shops.
Love learning from other ‘eye’s.

Very cute! I have my dish towel hanging over my cabinet door in front of the sink.
Great idea you clever girl you! I never seem to know where or how to hang my towels either. But I have NO wall space by my cabinets, and usually hang over a knob which I don’t like. Our cabinets are new and hubs will NOT let me put a hole in them for a hook.
What a cute idea! It fits right in your home since it has red on it!
hugs, Linda
That is such a cute idea!
Have a wonderful Christmas!
Merry Christmas Brenda.
I have plenty of racks in the kitchen, but this looks like just what I need by the sink in the half bath. Thanks for the clever idea.
Brenda, Please have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!
And, I LOVE your unique towel holder!
What a great idea.
Merry Christmas and the best of the New Year.
Denise

GREAT IDEA!!!! You are one smart cookie—or are you a cupcake?;>) xo Diana
Cute idea, Brenda. Looks like “farmhouse” to me. That’s a good thing ! as Martha S. would say..
I’ve been using a lot of dishtowels in the past couple of days~~~drying cookie pans.
You and Judy need a shop for sure..
Best wishes, Charlotte
What a cool idea! Merry Christmas Brenda!
Love your towel holder and all your farmhouse decorations. Yours is the first blog I read every day. Merry Christmas to you and your sweet pups!
Great idea, Brenda
Marvelous idea! Merry Christmas Brenda, you are a gift, enjoyed your blog for over a year!
Brenda-
smiles!
I have a couple of enamel ware pots (one a chamber pot that holds TP and the other a Blue speckled bean pot; I’ve been using for recyclables) neither of them have lids. I’m always looking for lids. Just the other day, I found a ‘blue speckled’ lid! I was thrilled. Like yours it was a great bargain. $1 !!! I came home and couldn’t wait to try it out…It was WAY TOO BIG. So then I thought…great, now what am I going to do with an extra lid?
All that to say…I love this idea. Thanks for posting such a simple little thing. Because it was just what I needed. Since repainting the bathroom last February…I’ve added lots of blue in there (before, it was red) so now my blue speckled lid will go nicely.
and… A very blessed and Merry Christmas to you, friend. Pat
Now that’s thinking outside the box. Great idea! Blessings, Tammy
Brenda,
Yep. That’s right….I’m stealing that idea. Thanks for sharing. Never thought of it BUT I love it.

That lid looks awful familiar. I have a booth at Generations Mall on 11th and Yale. I had a lid that sold this month. HMMM, could this one have been mine?
I used a plate hanger on it when I had it hanging-much easier than drilling a hole-just a suggestion. I love your blog-check it everyday. I live very close to your Cozy Little House.
