It’s A Colorful World

I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth. I’ve been trying to figure out how to do a certain banner that isn’t a collage and will fit into the above space for two days. The longer I try, the more frustrated I get. And the more determined. So today, with the kind help of WordPress support via email, we got it figured out.

Everyone has been clamoring for “please more color!” I hope this is enough color.

Tonight I’m looking forward to a quiet evening with the dogs. I think I’ll read this week’s Time magazine and catch up on world events.

I haven’t been able to drink my beloved coffee. I’ve had an upset tummy for several weeks now. Abi’s tummy seems to be better. But the Prozac has not kicked in yet. I sure hope it does. Poor little girl. She’s so anxious.

Anyway, everyone have a good evening.

  1. Oh- You poor, poor girl!!! You can’t drink coffee? That does NOT happen to me very often- Thanks goodness. Everything is looking very colorful at you house, Brenda. Merry Christmas to you- xo Diana

  2. Love your new header. I love your determination. Sorry about your tummy, maybe it should be checked out? I just tried making toffee for Christmas Eve, 1st time. Not sure it will turn out OK. Wishing you the best always, Brenda, and feel better. xo

  3. Colorful and cozy! Love your new header!

  4. Hi Brenda…Now I feel at home again in your cozy little house…I just love it Brenda!!Thanks for being such a sweetheart and putting it back like it was…I have been searching this town for some red chickens like yours..I just love them!!! enjoy your evening!! Love ya! Carol

  5. Nice banner! Hope all is well in your household and everyone is feeling better

  6. I love the new banner! I always feel like I am peeking in the window of the Cozy Little House, just like a fairy tale! The bird banner was beautiful too! Simple and lovely yet festive too. But this one with that cute little red truck is just the best ever!
I hope you feel better soon and Abi too!

  7. I need to do major work on my blog.
Wishing you a Very Merry Christmas and Hope You enjoy this Wonderful Holiday Season !

  8. You once mentioned having a noise machine on 24/7 (rain sound?)..I wonder if that might not be causing some anxiousness in Abi. Dogs are much more sensitive to noise than people. Probably off track but just thought I’d mention it.
Love your blog, btw. Always such gorgeous pics.

Now, Brenda, this looks more like you.

After the turmoil of the past week, I’m not surprised that your “tummy” doesn’t feel like coffee.. I think we all need to take a deep breath, pick ourselves up and relax a bit. One of my best friends went through major surgery yesterday and my tummy was in a knot all day.

Take some time to really relax, cuddle with Charlie and Abi and make them your Christmas “kids”. I know they are the love of your life everyday of the week. I think maybe sweet little Abi just needs to settle down, too, with Mom.

Your pretty yellow alstrameria flowers look so cheery.. I hope you have some in your house right now. I think you’re going to get some snow for Christmas.. I wish we were here in Va. Santa will have to use his “wheels”.

I still have shopping to do, so want to get out early and get home quickly. I shouldn’t have procrastinated.

Take care and I’m sending Christmas hugs your way, Charlotte

  12. Merry Christmas Brenda!
Have a Happy and Healthy New Year!

  14. Beautiful. I am always met with beauty when I come here. Please do not stop what you are doing. You delight many.
May you have a Blessed Day,

  15. The new header is super cute:) Hope you feel better soon, that is a long time to have a belly ache.

The header is lovely, and, of course, all of your pictures are always awe-inspiring!! A quiet night sounds like a great thing to do almost any time, but especially now. I struggle so with this season. I always have. Then, 13 years ago my Dad died on Christmas Day. I finally know that the Norman Rockwell Christmas, as perfect as it appears, is not the norm, but rather the exception. It exhausts me both mentally and physically. Still have not baked a thing, and not sure if I will at this point. Adding to all the *fun and festivities*, my husband and I both have birthdays in December. January 2 is always a happy day in my mind. Be well, Brenda! We had 16 inches of snow on Thursday, aaarrrggghh,,,,,, and now it sounds like YOU might have some of this “wonderful” stuff coming your way!! Enjoy,,,,, and walk very carefully if you do get any!!!!

  17. Lovely new banner!

I hope you are feeling better soon – try ginger tea and peppermint teas for your tummy. Eat some good yogurt with probiotics and try switching to decaf coffee.

I hope you and your doggie feel better soon!

  18. Sweet Brenda! Thank you! you are such a kind giving person! Love! Love! all the color!, what to see more of your cozy little house, so i can dream! Merry Christmas! to you and your babies!

  19. Love your new banner. I spent a long time yesterday on trying to come up with new ones, but am not happy with any yet. I think I will spend some time over the next couple of weeks updating my blog. Enjoy some quiet time.

    Hugs,
    Laura

  20. Love it!

  21. The pan lid is genious!!! Hope your belly feels better – mine has been cattywompus for the last couple weeks as well, but I think I’ve done it to myself. Merry Christmas Brenda!

  22. Feel better Brenda! Snuggling in with your babies and a good magazine is a wonderful way to spend the evening!
