I think Abi might be getting a little bit better on the Prozac. She has extreme separation anxiety from me. So when I go out, she gets very upset.
My Charlie boy is a little more laid back, thank goodness.
They are staring out at the morning rain. Not much to watch. Not many dog walkers or joggers this morning.
Charlie is my little guard dog, ever vigilant for noises and things outside the windows.
Our sweet babies have personalities all their own. These two are my constant companions, loyal and attentive. What more could one ask for? Friends forever.

These are awesome photos…I love the last two! Happy Thursday!
Beautiful photos, Brenda. I also love the chicken S & P shakers in your previous post. They would go nicely on my kitchen table:)
So glad the Prozac is kicking in. My steadfast baby is in my lap as I type. Nothing like cat hair in the laptop:}
They are so sweet…love the photos, Brenda!
Nothing like the love and loyalty of pets. Cute pictures.
They are so sweet!
They are adorable and loyal. I know my kitties are my constant companions!
hugs, Linda
I love how Charlie’s ears stand up so straight. Abi’s are funny, one down and one up. I am glad the Prozac is helping her a little. It would be nice if it made her tummy problems go away. Taking my Yorkie to the vet tomorrow as she is limping. She doesn’t seem to be in any pain and hops all over the place.
You are all lucky to have each other! Glad to hear Abi is better.
Xo,
Charlotte
Oh my…I could cry!!! So sweet!!! This is exactly how I feel about my Bella Schnauzer!!! Bella goes everywhere with me, as long as it’s not too hot or too cold. I am very lucky to have her, and she is lucky to have me!!! I pray for all of you!!! Kathy
Have you ever tried a ThunderShirt on Abby? I have no affiliation with them, but I’ve seen other people have great success with them for their pets. I wish they’d had them back when I had my female Lab; as she got older, fireworks terrified her and I think this would have helped.
(oops, I know it’s “Abi”)
You reminded me of when the vet prescribed Valium for our lab mix, Goldie (gone now, but never forgotten). She panicked at the first rumble of thunder, but the medication made all the difference. I remember thinking it so odd to take her prescription to the pharmacy, not knowing at the time that dogs benefited from some of the same drugs humans take! Glad you’re noticing an improvement with your girl.
Hi Brenda!! I LOVE the pics of your pups!! My Molly is 13 and the sweetheart of my life since Jeff died. I understand the anxiety part too. After Jeff died suddenly Molly was a wreck. She was laying beside him when I found him. Her personality completely changed. She would try to lay down in the weirdest places…. like behind the toilet??? She slept in front of the door for over a year. We made several trips to the vet because of her anxiety. It was sooo sad to see HER grieve over Jeff dying. It took about a year for her to calm down but there are still some things that wont change. She refuses to take the treats that she ate for 10 years. Jeff was the one who primarly gave them them to her. So our pups definately react to our stressers too. Does the steel boot scare her?
Take care Brenda!!
MJ
I have probably said it a thousand times but your pups are SO cute! And they are friends indeed!
XO,
Jane
I’m so glad the meds are working on Abi. That is great news. Yes, they rely on us for so many things, and you three have been thru lots these last few years. I too have wondered about the Thunder shirt, as Ziggy, my Morkie, is crazy in the car. Believe me, it’s not a fun ride to be trimmed, and I have to go up a mtn road, so high anxiety when he’s whining. Maybe I need the Thunder shirt. As usual, you have amazed us with your pictures.
They are sooo cute!! They are such great companions.
Kathy
One of my dogs looks out the window and barks and barks. Do yorkies bark a lot?
They are so cute, Brenda. Our fur friends never desert us or let us down,do they? xo Diana
Oh how sweet! Those two little friends of yours are adorable. Our little fury friends are such wonderful blessings. My little Zoey passed away in September, I am now ready to have another little Yorkie to fill the void in my life. Rocky will be ready to come home with me in February. Love your blog, such sweetness. Karie
Such sweet babies! You’re so right, friends for life!
They are just so sweet! After losing my girl in October I still cry even thinking about her. I made her “promise” to get me through my cancer treatments – she was in such pain – but she just couldn’t. She stayed right with me for as long as she could. See now I’m crying again. They really are our total unconditional friends.
Oh, my precious puppies!!! They are, you know, my foster dogs!!
Judy
Love, love, love those sweet faces. I can’t resist puppy dog eyes. Bonnie
that is where my two have been until this afternoon, laying by the window, gazing out at the wet world outside. It finally cleared here today, rained for two days and nights. They are the best friends we could have
sorry to read that you are back in the boot.
Brenda
They are sweet little fellows, animals do help make a home.
Merle…….
Wonderful photos of your companions! I had been wondering if the prozac was seeming to help Abi. Extreme anxiety is a tough thing for us humans but when you can’t even voice it—
They are so focused looking out the window and so darling!
Hi Brenda! I love your pictures today of your little babies…So glad Abi is doing better now…its been raining here all day..so dismal…no better pal in this world than your loyal doggies…I love my little boy Fritzy..hes a Whestie and 5 years old…he still misses our Lady we had to send to doggie heaven a few months back…just out of the blue she got a disease like Crones in people and she could not be saved..I miss her every day and so does our Fritzy…he is still moping around and looking out the window for her all the time..it is just so sad…love ya! Carol
Hi Brenda! I know whenever I leave a rare comment I always say how much I love reading your blog, but I really, really do! It brightens my day.
So sorry you are back in the boot again. Prayers for quick healing!
Love reading and seeing pictures of your precious babies. I am curious how you knew she had extreme anxiety?
My little poodle is a real “mama’s” dog and she only wants ME, although she will love on the others as long as I am not in the room, lol! I just wonder how she does when I am gone. Hopefully she does o.k.
Such sweet fur babies!!!
Our dog is my shadow. She would be a terrible dog for an elderly person, I trip over her all the time. Dogs are great companions:)
What precious pooches! Our pets are just like our children… all different. Hope the meds help.
Brenda, Your sweet babies are so precious, i lost my little Ginger, 6lb dachaund last spring and i still cry over her, people keep telling me to get another she just can’t be replaced, she loved me even if i didn’t feel like paying her attention, oh how i miss my little friend. Loved your pic’s in the previous post, your pic’s look like you can reach in and touch them, so clear. Brenda, where do you get all of your energy, looking at your posts,
make me feel so good, can never wait on the next one!
Oh, your fur babies are just adorable! They are the truest friends. My Peeka loves me unconditionally, too. Aren’t we blessed?
Hugs,
Patti
Your fur babies are so cute!! I’m a Yorkie mom too and they are just the sweetest little dogs.
hugs,
Cindy
Glad the meds are working for sweet Abi. No sense her being upset if she doesn’t need to be. They both are adorable! Thank god for our forever friends and constant fur baby companions! I love it when you post pictures of your sweet pups. It’s raining here in Michigan tonight.
Your canine companions are just adorable and definitely the best little friends you could ever have. Stay warm and cozy and have a wonderful weekend. Tammy
Beautiful babies, Brenda..I would be lost without my fur babies too…
Barb
Enjoy every moment with your sweet, loving companions……They truly do give unconditional love, don’t they ? I just lost my constant loving companion, Bo. He was a beautiful, yellow lab – a big, gentle giant. I can’t believe how much I miss him……
Hi Brenda, Yes, they’re as sweet as can be! I have 4 of them and each is so different in their personality. I can’t imagine my life without them. Have a great day!
I so agree, Brenda. I miss my sweet dog so much. One of the things I plan to do when I move is get another sweet baby.
Hugs,
Laura
Soooooo cute and sweet.

Sheila
