Here are some ideas for what to put in fake fireplaces. Above, a sculpted bust and sea art lends a bit of the unexpected.
Ah, candles. Abundant candles! Imagine how that would look at night.
Ingenius! Shelves.
Paintings. Why not?

I love the one with all the candles! So pretty. Very cool really, all of them!

Love the candles too. I would love to do this!
Aren’t those GREAT ideas? Wow- I would like any one of them- xo Diana
I’d love to have a fake fireplace with an antique wood fireplace mantel, but in my little cottage, there is no place to put one. I will just have to make do with my behind-the-couch shelf. With that said, I love the wonderful ideas that people have for decorating their fake fireplaces and I have lots of other places in my home to use their decorating ideas. I love the look of the candles, too, but am nervous about having them burning. This year I found some inexpensive but cute battery powered candles. I love them. They make pretty little splashes of light on these long dark nights and I don’t have to worry about them catching anything on fire. They have timers, so I don’t even have to turn them off or on. Thank you for showing us some beautifully decorated fake fireplaces.
I have a fake fireplace as well
I wanna post something about it soon
I Pinned the one with the blue background. That’s my favorite for fireplace or shelf inspiration.
I saw one on the outside of the house in front of the place where they enclosed the garage. they decorated it for christmas. I love the one with the shelves in it.
The candles look pretty good and would be warming too.

Love the shelves idea. When we had our old standard (suck the heat out of your house) fireplace, we sealed it shut and put our TV in the opening. It fit perfectly! Now we have a more efficient modern wood burning stove that takes up less space than the fireplace, hearth and mantle and heats our whole house.
Hi Brenda…we have an antique mantle that sets perfectly over the opening to our wood burning fireplace..I have so many allergies that we never burn real wood so we bought an electric fireplace and sat in front of the wood burning one…love it!! I have all my Susan Paley vases on all 3 shelves..every home needs to have a mantle!! Love all the ones you showed today
Love ya! Carol
I love creative ideas like these for the fireplaces. Grab a blanket, you’re making me feel cold.
These are all great ideas. I love the second living room with the candles inside the fireplace. The bookshelves are very creative; I don’t think I’ve ever see anything like that before in a fake fireplace.
Great inspiration! I’d love to find an old vinage fireplace mantel for the dining area of my kitchen. Maybe I’ll get really lucky and find one for a really good price. We just bought a fake fireplace to warm up the basement. It has fake logs so there isn’t room for decorating. It casts a nice glow and really does kick out some heat. Perfect for a basement.
