Recently I discovered Passion Fruit Ads. I was curious and checked into it.
They are a company that basically gives you everything you need to create a page on your blog for ads of various sizes. You set your own price. They take around a dollar.
You do not have to do much of anything but set your prices, put their code on your sidebar, and wait for advertisers to buy your ads. When the ad is getting ready to expire, they do the work of getting in touch with the advertiser. They also host the images, so no dealing with Photobucket code. A big yea on that one for me!
I don’t know about anyone else, but once I tried doing all this myself with ads and it nearly drove me nuts. I do not have the wherewithal to create the codes on Photobucket and then remember how to get the image to link up. I can do it and do it, and I will automatically forget how the next time I need it done.
When I was trying to figure out a couple of things, I merely chatted online with a representative in a box in the left-hand corner of my monitor, and he helped me with a few questions then and there.
I just did this, so I don’t know if it will be a long term venture or a short one. But I like to pass on information when I think it might be relevant to making a little money on your blog.
You can also swap ads with other bloggers. A good idea, I thought.
If it is an ad you don’t wish to add to your sidebar, you just don’t accept it. Simple as that.
Go here, which is the ad for this in my navigation bar, and take a look. I picked the colors and the figures and the rest was pretty automatic. Believe me, if I can do this, so can you.
So if you want to sell some sidebar ad space, you might check them out.
