Shortly after I got up, snow started falling. I was due for a doctor’s appointment at 9:10, but had to cancel. Can’t afford any more falls. And Judy, bless her, has been really sick with strep throat and laid up for about 10 days.
Snow is picturesque, but can be slick. I always think it’s better to stay inside and enjoy watching it fall.
Look at these two. They clearly don’t know what to think.
So we will stay inside and watch the flurries come down. Watch the snow cover the surfaces. Stay warm.

Lovely. Your day seems very relaxing. Enjoy!
Oh Brenda, so cool…I know, it’s slippery and all that. But there isn’t that much, so it should go away soon, and it’s so pretty.
Be careful in the snow.
Jen
Oh I enjoy the snow but like you I rather see it from inside a warm house! Enjoy your day, and I hope Judy starts to get better.
Good Morning Brenda,
I have the same view out of our windows today! The white fluffy stuff has been falling all morning. We are in the middle of a snow squall today! Stay warm & cozy!
The dogs are so cute watching it snow.
All the Best,
Christine
Better inside on any cold and snowy and likely some hidden ice day. I love your blog layout, it is so crisp, easy to read, organized and, as always, a pleasure to read. Your sweet dogs look so precious as they watch the snow.
Joy
How gorgeous!! I’m sooooo jealous. I want snow. I want snow. I want snow. I haven’t seen it in 2 yrs! I’m not complaining about our sunny weather today (although it is very cold) but darn-it……… I want snow! Your two doggies are adorable looking out at it. I hate that you had to miss an appt. for it though and I hate to hear that Judy is sick as well. I haven’t had strep throat before, but everyone else in my family has had it and it’s awful! I hope she recovers soon. I hope she’s under a doctor’s care for it.
It was snowing a little here this morning. I quite like winter. If it’s slippery where you are, though, inside is best!
Brenda, it is pretty but you do not need any more falls as you said. Down here no one knows how to drive in snow so we dare not go out. I am sorry to hear Judy is sick. Stay warm, olive
It’s beautiful! You have the perfect view, from inside, safe and warm. Cozy up with your babies and enjoy your winter wonderland! Before we know it we will be cursing the heat
A great day to stay in and keep warm….we have minus 20 with the wind chill factor…lots of ICE…so I am staying close to home as well…no, we do not any more broken bones…stay cozy.
The dogs do clearly look very curious. How funny for them. Now if they will go out and do their business. Our little dogs hates it when it is wet and I have to make her go.
What a pretty photo but glad you are on the inside looking out! I agree, better to stay in and safe! Hugs, Linda
Gorgeous pictures Brenda ! Stay warm ! Don’t you wonder what there thinking at times ( the dogs) have a wonderful and warm day
Hi Brenda, I think you were very wise! I love the snow pictures…as you say…it’s a joy to look out on! Love the way the dogs are looking as well. I bet they couldn’t wait to go out and see what was happening!? Joan
Your pictures look like postcards! so beautiful. Your dogs are adorable!
Your snow is coming my way, unfortunately. I am SO sick of winter. The sun is shining brightly here today, but it’s very cold. And the snow will hit us tomorrow. I’m glad you cancelled your dr’s appt. Can’t risk any more falls, that’s for sure.
The picture of the dogs in the window is my favorite. Have they ever been in snow? My two ran around the yard scooping it up with their noses and then literly rolled in it. Smart to stay inside, people in Tulsa don’t know how to drive in snow or in many cases on clear days either. Bahahaa!
Rain and sleet here in North Texas, but guess we can’t complain since we need the moisture so badly!
Hi. You were able to take some great photographs of the snow, even though you didn’t get out in it. I love the photo of snow on the bush and grasses, with little snow caps forming on the dried flowers. Enjoy your day inside — sounds like a day to hover near the coffee bar!
Snow is so pretty as long as you don’t have to get out in it! Love the pictures of your sweet dogbabies watching it snow. Stay warm!
Oh I’m a sucker for snow. I love the cold, white stuff. Lucky you! Those photos look Heavenly! Enjoy the snow.
Audrey
It’s so pretty. Good idea to just stay inside your cozy little house where you’re warm and safe.
I love the photos of the babies looking out the window. Stay warm!

Pretty to look at, but stay in and safe. I don’t get out in it either.
Great pics of the pupsters. And I’m glad you cancelled, you don’t need anything else happening to you. Best wishes to Judy, and hope she’s on the mend soon.
Love the pics of the two pups looking at the snow in wonder….
You were wise to stay home…Those little pups are so precious. I’ll bet you could write a book about their antics.
Balisha
It is pretty but it is just that I am tired of being cold…but I am not ready for yard work so that is the problem. Be safe. Dianntha
The photos are beautiful.. I miss snow.. We dont get much here in South Carolina although we did this past Saturday night and then it rained overnight so everything turned to ice. It reminded me of living back in NJ for a while but then by 4 pm it was all melted and gone… Love the photo of your 2 little furry kids just watching… Mine wouldn’t venture out into Saturday night.. I opened the door and they have me a look as if to say “are you serious?” so I just closed the door and watched it fall.. LOL
I would so love to be there watching the snow with you and the pups!
It is very pretty but you are better staying inside where it is warm and safe. Love the photos of the dogs ~ so cute!
Lovely! Thanks for sharing, Brenda. Stay warm!
XO,
Sheila
I am glad you stayed inside and didn’t take a chance on falling. What pretty photos. I am sorry to hear that Judy has strep throat. How miserable. Hope you enjoyed your “inside” snow day- xo Diana
It’s been snowing here all day too, Brenda. We, though, are terribly sick of it and want to see signs of Spring. Cute picture of the dogs. Wouldn’t it be funny to know what they are thinking. Deb
Happy Winter!
Snow pics are lovely!
Hi Brenda…I love your sweet little doggies…they are looking at the snow like “what is this stuff landing in our grass ??” looks like you had a nice relaxing day home and just enjoying the tranquility…to me theres nothing better!
we are getting a winter storm system coming in late tonight so I did my grocery shoping for the week this afternoon and just look forward to sitting home and doing nothing but drinking coffee..crocheting..watching my Y & R and sitting on my laptop browsing ebay…stay warm Brenda!!! Love ya! Carol
Snow is headed our way tomorrow (Iowa).Up to 9 inches is possible. Ok with me we are snug with lots of sewing projects to keep me busy. Stay warm everyone.judy j
What a pretty view outside your window. Love the house across the street. It snowed here in Michigan today. Good decision to stay inside when it’s slippery and wet. I’m getting cabin fever and can’t wait for gardening season. This time of year is good for doing projects indoors but then it costs money for paint and supplies. Trying to live more frugally since retiring in December. Love the photos of your sweet pups. Bet they enjoy looking out of your window.
Brenda ~ looks like the perfect day to grab a cup of hot chocolate and snuggle under a warm quilt with the fur babies
It looks beautiful but I’m sure glad you stayed home…safe and warm! Sweet hugs!
You have a pretty view! Feel better soon:)
Inside your house, warm and dry, is the very best place to enjoy a pretty snowfall. A cup of coffee, your laptop, the company of 2 little doggies, what could be better?!
Hey Brenda, best stay inside. That’s making me cold just looking at it. brrr
Your pictures are wonderful! I am so jealous we need snow here in KY I’m sure quite a few would disagree with me my grandma for one, but hubby and I love it. Looks like the perfect day to stay inside and snuggle with the puppies! Enjoy!
Very pretty, I hope you let your dogs out to investigate for a few minutes!
The snow is so pretty. Glad you opted for staying in. Hope your friend is feeling better soon. I had an awful bug, and it lasted forever. I relapsed, and am just now am better. 5 weeks!
Take care.
xo Kris
Snow is beautiful but I’m so glad we don’t get that here, except maybe twice every decade or so. If I could, I’d clip off the three blooms on my hibiscus and send them to brighten your day.
Hi Brenda,
Good decision to cancel. The snow is so beautiful…but, unfortunately, so inconvenient!
We’re anticipating snow tonight and later this week. I love it, but, still have memories of falling on the ice and breaking my leg and ankle five years ago.
Be careful, my friend.
Carolynn
It was probably better that you stayed in, Brenda. I hate driving in the snow myself. I have had too many close calls in the past. I just read about this snow storm this morning and was looking to see if it was heading this way. We’ve been having snow showers off and on for about a week now. I can deal with that.
Hi Brenda, Glad you are staying in where it’s warm & toasty! Beautiful photos.
Yep. You got it before us. It is just beginning here. Supposed to get hammered today up here along I-70. The Weather Channel is calling it Winter Storm Q. Never knew they named winter storms. Learned something today.
I know it is cold, but my it is beautiful! Stay warm!
Gorgeous pictures! But I agree, I stay home at the first flake falling. I don’t want to be an other car stopped on the side of the road waiting to be rescued!
Good idea to stay inside, Brenda. You definitely don’t need any more falls. Enjoy
Hugs,
Laura
We had two dogs who every year would watch the snow fall from the window with tail wagging, as soon as they could no longer see grass poking through they would run back and forth to the door begging us to let them out. It was our cheap entertainment for the day as we then would watch them roll around in the snow, push their noses into it and just play for what felt like hours while we sat at the window laughing. Enjoy your day indoors we too woke to more snow, but we have much more than you do, darn lake effect.
Brenda, just looking at the snow pictures made me shiver. Of course, we don’t see a lot of snow here in Alabama, so it was a treat to see what you woke up to this morning. And, your fur babies are adorable. I have two also….a Chihuahua and a Chicapoo, so I know how much joy they bring. I can’t imagine life without doggie love. Blessings, Janice
