Color! Who wouldn’t want to sit down and relax in this bright cheerful room.
This chair grouping placed in front of bookshelves with an ottoman in a totally different color enchanted me.
Oh, this gorgeous wall! Do you think that’s scrapbook paper or fabric? I would love to do a wall up like this with random squares. A patchwork quilt effect. And just as cozy.
I really find this yellow and white dining room appealing.
Soft. When I look at the above photo, I just relax. Feminine and full of pastel hues.
This blue kitchen floats my boat too. Love the black and white flooring.
This room looks lived in. Comfy and bursting with color.
I’ve seen this banquette on a lot of Pinterest boards. It doesn’t feel like it takes up much room, yet serves its purpose perfectly.
The colors I so love: red, white and blue. And a quilt. What more could you want?
I’m dotty for this retro kitchen of red and white.
This makes me wish I could crochet. It’s all the rage right now and looks so cozy.
Red flowers. Enough said.
What are you finding oh so Pinteresting?

These are all so bright and cheery! love the photo of the ranunculus since they’re one of my favorite flowers.
I think that patchwork wall is fabric. If you look on the right side of the photo, there’s a little shadowing that you wouldn’t expect to be there if it were paper.
I’m afraid to go exploring on Pinterest!! I already spend way too much time on the computer and that would just add to the temptation.
However, I do love that seating arrangement with the rustic wood walls and windows and the two chairs in front of the bookcase. Not my taste of fabrics, but the overall arrangement is wonderful.
And they all look like you. If you like Mollie Makes (it’s the magazine) on FB they posted a video on how to crochet just today.
Since this past week was very hectic with tax work, my reward at the end of the day was browsing Pinterest -
“Bohemian Cottage Life” is currently my favorite board…..

Hi. Wonderful photos! Since you liked that wall of patchwork wallpaper, I want to share a link to a blog in which the blogger, Pam, details how she did just such a wall treatment in her home office:

This is a really great blog, by the way, particularly for those with homes from the 1940s through the 1960s (though she also dabbles in the 70s and 80s a bit).
Brenda, since I started following you on Pinterest, I am seeing the most beautiful images!
I agree with Paula. I love to browse your boards. I love the mismatched pillows and am in the process of redoing our living room in that Bohemian Cottage vibe.
Love your inspiration, saw lots of red…so of course I love them!
I found a bucket in my basement the other day.It looks just like the one shown with the red flowers in it. Mine has a hole in the bottom of it. I wondered why I had saved a bucket with a hole in the bottom. Now I know why. It is going to be perfect for a big pot of red geraniums this spring.
I like to look around on pinterest. Today I posted for the first time. I posted our remake of our back porch into a laundry/mud room. I have no idea how to find where it is posted but I will keep looking . I have a lot of USA pottery and am looking for ways to display it.

They are all beauitful, and of course red helps! Thanks for sharing these!
Beautiful….
re the patchwork wall…
not sure if this is till the case, but years ago, ran into some projects like this, and they got the patchwork squares (free) from few different places. Just went and asked if they could have their old sample books, and they were happy to have them used, and then saved the next for them.
a) wallpaper stores / paint stores all have sample books , zillions of different ones
b) furniture stores have sample books, too, so customers can custom order
c)carpet flooring shops, as well, although these likely to bulky
d)some high end fabric shops also have fabric sample books
Hi Brenda – I’ve become a Pinterest fanatic. Especially this last week when I’ve been laid low with a bad cold. Not surprising that I’ve seen all these pictures (pinned some of them too) as I follow you on Pinterest as well. J
Great pins, Brenda. I am a color and pattern girl myself.
Hi Brenda! I LOVE pinterest..such an informative place to look and see such wonderful creative things and ideas…and a lot of really good scrumpy recipes!!! I love to crochet and have found some amazing crochet books and magazines through Pinterest and sites! Attic 24 is one of them…she introduced me to the magazine from the UK called Simply Crochet!! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! its making crocheting so much fun today!! altho I have been crocheting for over 40 years!!! I LOVE how it is coming back and so many people are loving it!!Love ya! Carol
The crochet pic makes me want to get out my crochet needle and get to work. I’ve only crocheted a handful of afghans but did enjoy the process very much.
Don’t ya just love Pinterest! Wonderful images, love all the red. I am starting to try my hand at some of the recipes I am finding on Pinterest. Some are easy, some a little bit hard to follow, but am enjoying it just as much as a cookbook. Lovely post my friend. Diane
I love to get lost on Pinterest (in a good sort of way). I go into it to just take a peek and before you know it an hour has passed and I’m pinning things from people I just ran across accidentally. I have a feeling I’ll be starting to add to my Easter boards this week. And more vintage pottery and gardening. I just love Pinterest!
Oh I find so many things pinteresting on there Brenda. As I mentioned it is a real time sucker. Love that blue kitchen, it floats my boat too.
Hi Brenda, Wow, we like a lot of the same things! I love seeing what you’re finding to pin on Pinterest.
I love all of these images Brenda, but I’m especially drawn to the kitchen and yellow dining room. So pretty!
I started a crochet blanket in high school (too long ago to mention) and never finished it. It was nice, but i never quite got the hang of making the stitches as tight as they should be.
I started doing a weekly Pinterest post of my favs also a few weeks ago. It’s by far my favorite way to spend time on line. I’m blown away by the creativity out there!
Such a lovely collection of your favorite pins-a couple of my favorite are the polka dot curtains and red roses-
That beautiful bucket filled with flowers makes me just long for spring! I can’t wait to get outside into the garden!
Those photos all remind me of your sweet cottage! So cozy with fun colors.
I love that patchwork wall, it looks like fabric but could it be wallpaper samples as someone mentioned. The dining nook, the white attic room all jump out at me as things I would like. I need to find some fabric to make a curtain for under my open counter space as well and like the blue fabric in your inspiration photo above.
I love every image you’ve featured here! I actually went as far as buying myself a teach yourself to crochet book, but then the grandbabies came along, and it’s been put aside for now. I adore the granny square afghans and pillows seen on all the Scandinavian blogs in light bright colors and would like to create my own, if only there were 36 hours in a day!!
You always pin just what I love too Brenda!
It’s just amazing how much we like the same stuff.
No safe neutrals for us.
thanks for sharing,
Cindy
