Dining Room Bouquets

The other day I brought this little shelf into the dining room. I've used it all over the house, it seems.

Above it is one of my favorite photos. It is from Jen at Muddy Boot Dreams. And I just adore it!

At the moment I don't have a table cloth on the table. Wanted a summer look. So it is bare but for the round glass top, which was in the garage when I moved in. And fit my table perfectly!

As you can see, I've cut a zinnia bouquet and brought it inside. Seems I have more pink blooms than any other color. There is some red and what I would call tangerine colored flowers mixed in.

I thought they complimented one another nicely. But then I don't think I've ever met a flower I didn't like!

I'm linking this up to Amaze Me Monday at Dwellings , Mod Mix Mondays at Nita's Mod Vintage Life,

  2. Brenda, I planted some zinnia seeds this year and most all of the blooms that I got are pink. Don't know what happened but they are pretty just the same.
Will try again next year and want to try some with bigger blooms..
A lot of mine from last year reseeded and are very pretty.. Have dug some up and spread them around in different places in my yard..
I love the picture that Jen gave you. Your blue vignette is lovely. Love you little white cabinet too.

    1. Maybe the zinnias will reseed for me. I have them planted in galvanized tubs.

  3. My zinnias JUST ( and FINALLY :) started to come into bloom in the last few days...not all of them and for some reason not as many as last year but still I am happy to see them!

Your flowers seem to be about 2-3 weeks ahead of mine ..and I sure do love that bouquet! :)

    1. That was about all the blooms that were out there. I planted quite a few zinnia seeds, and nothing else. So I know they didn't all come up.

    1. The only seeds that come up for me are morning glories, zinnias and occasionally marigolds.

  6. Changing things around can be fun. My furniture may not move often, but I do enjoying moving around the things I have decorating my wall. As for the picture above your cabinet, Jen does do beautiful photography.

  8. That blue teapot and the blue in the crock look great under that amazing photograph. I love moving things around. I don't move big furniture around the way I used to but it really wakes a space up to move things around.

I think the zinnias we plant from seed do better than those we buy in little pots.

  11. The cabinet is so cute... and sitting on top of the bench is just adorable! My mom planted zinnias in her garden this year. I am not sure I had ever really seen them growing, but they make such a statement! I am going to plant some in my beds next year. Your dining room is fabulous - as always! :) Hope you have a wonderful day!
