More Flea Market Decorating

I can't get enough of this flea market decorating style. Above: A great look for your kitchen. And straight from the farm!

Look how interesting and whimsical putting various types of benches on top of one another looks. I've done this before. But didn't have as many benches to use.

You can create great vignettes on these. And storage for books too.

This is such a fun look. An outdoor chair. A rustic coffee table with weathered planks on top. Vintage-inspired pillows. Great eye candy here. Mix it up! Put indoor with outdoor and vice versa.

This is a great way to organize. And it looks pretty too. A tray with milk glass and you've got a pleasing and uncluttered look for your desk or office space.

If I had space to do more than turn around in my bathroom, I'd have a hutch like this in it pronto. Isn't this cute? And don't forget to check out the ladder with towels.

The wall gallery look is really in. You don't want all of one thing decorating your walls. Mix it up, as they did above. So visually appealing.

Here's a way to hide all those ugly cords that power up our electronic gadgets. Close the lid and who would ever know?

Here's a simple and great way to bring cutlery to the table. I think this would be great for outdoor meals as well.

How about hanging your pots and pans from a vintage sled? What a conversation starter.

Here's a great old chippy desk/table with a wicker chair. I love the varied textures.

Do you have a favorite find from a flea market or antique mall or garage sale that you cherish?

 {All of the above photos came from the Better Homes & Gardens website.}

  7. I had to pin a bunch of these great ideas!!! I think it'd be cute to just to use cans with label still on them for silverware, silver or plastic, for a party or picnic. Guess I'll have to hop on over to BHandG and see what else they have going on. I love vintage, flea markets, garage sales and thrift stores...I just don't have room any more for all my great finds! Just recently found your blog..love it; mine is www.thegoodlife54.blogspot.com blessings to you!

  9. I love the stacked benches idea. I always admire that look. But alas...I don't have any benches around other than the type that you store stuff inside which would not work for this. You live right by the flea market too, don't you? Of course I'm not far from a monthly one too and I never go any more...no disposable income these days. I really don't need any more old stuff though...I've plenty but I do love it.

  13. The photos are inspiring! I love every one of them! Like you, if I had enough room in one of my small bathrooms, I'dl go for that hutch in a New York second! I love the first photo too because that's doable at my house. Remember Brenda, there is always wall space in your bathroom. Do you have room to hang things on your wall? It's wonderful how photos can get our braining spinning with new ideas!

  17. Brenda, I know exactly what you mean about turning around in the bathroom. This house has the smallest bathroom, I have ever had. You know so darn basic. Who thinks like that?? Blessings to you this Sunday morning. xoxo,Susie

  22. Oh no! I'm obsessed! I have a similar drink caddy and now i must search for milk glass glasses for it so I can use it for desk supplies. Love this idea. Drat! I hate when that happens. Now I will be searching and searching and searching. Oh well! That's part of the fun too!
