I had a little visitor today.
This afternoon my granddaughter, sweet Ms. Marley, came over to my house while her mother took care of some business.
They were on vacation in Florida for ten days, so I haven’t seen her in a few weeks. I so enjoy that child!
One thing she really likes to do at my house is play with my big jar of buttons.
Getting Things Done:
Last week when the internet, phone, and TV were out due to the winds, I cleaned up my office. Things had been piling up since I broke both sides of my ankle and had surgery over a year ago.
I dug in and purged a lot of things.
While I was at it, I took one of the desks (there are two) in here and created a desk space for Marley.
I put a lamp on it and gave her lots of scrapbook paper and paper punches. Plus colored pencils and other things I knew she’d enjoy playing with.
Going Outside With Marley:
It is very hot and humid here. But Marley and the dogs and I went outside. I tried to take a few photos, but my camera lens fogged up as soon as I took the cover off of it.
So we went back inside. She curled up on the couch under a blanket and watched PBS.
I remember when my two daughters watched that channel. Thank goodness they still have it on TV for children. Marley learns quite a bit from the TV shows on PBS.
Thankful:
I want you to know how thankful I am for all your support during this time when my blog got so messed up.
So many of you tried to get the word out because starting over means you lose momentum with your readers.
That is just so kind of you. Bloggers and readers are so giving and helpful. Don’t know what I’d do without my buds!
From the bottom of my heart, as always, I thank you all.
Brenda
I am so sorry to hear about the problems with your blog. I couldn't find you anywhere! It said you didn't exist. What a disappointment to lose all your posts, but I'm glad you aren't easily discouraged and are continuing on.
Like everyone is saying glad your back online. Sorry you lost your work but upward and forward the say Have a great weekend
Yep, upward and forward…
Just so glad you're back up and running, that was a hard week on all of us! Marley is so entirely cute, glad she's got her own desk now, bet she's as creative as her grandmother.
Mary
She likes to do crafts, and her mother doesn't. So lucky she's got me!
I haven't figured out your blog address yet…when I typed in
.com, it said site down.
then I typed in.blogspot.com and your blog came up…but then, in the address space it's .com…..whew…STRANGE
I've known several that tried the word press and it didn't work out for them, either. So glad you have your pretty blog back.
xoxo bj
Yeah, you are back. Maybe those pictures will still show up. Just glad you are back.
So glad that you are seeing Marley now. She sure is cute. Love that she has her own little spot. My granddaughter made herself an office in a teeny tiny place in our house. It was behind where the TV cabinet door opened up. lace for a tiny antique desk I had….later even a book shelf. It was like they had a real door opening up. Then they wanted to do the other side of the TV. So much fun. They don't need toys……

I sure do hate it that this happened to you! So glad that your blog is back up and running well now though. I made sure to get you back on my blog roll with the right website and it appears it is. I know what you mean about trying to take pics in the heat. When we were in FL I had to let the camera aclimate to the hot weather so the pictures would be clear. I had to delete a few that were blurry from the lens being fogged up. Hope you find some relief from the heat soon. Just one more hot month left, right?
I am so sorry about your lost posts. I wonder what happened!? The flowers are gorgeous colours. I always buy myself flowers when I'm down! Little Marley is so sweet. I'm sure it was worth the sorting out just to see her face when she saw her desk! Joan
And I SO missed all of you!
Glad to see you are back in blog world. I missed you!
What a sweet photo of Marley! Sorry you had troubles moving back to blogger.I moved from blogger to WP and I am not moving.I am starting to figure it out and finally it's comfortable.Yes it is wonderful to have a group of supporting women ….I love that!

If things had been easy there, without all the things that kept changing on me and the mixed up posts, I would have stayed. It was only when I could tell it was just getting worse, I assume within the coding, that I made the move.
Marley is a doll and I am so glad she came to visit! I know how a Grand can lift our spirits. You are so loved Brenda and I hope you can feel it from all of us!!
I do feel it. And it means the very world to me!
What a sweet picture of Marley….she is just adorable and now she's got her own special desk to make art masterpieces! 🙂
I hate humidity…we are having a break from it now for a change but yours sounds to be steamy and around 100%, ugh.
I am so sorry about all of the blogging troubles but glad that you are back and up and running again 🙂
I will keep on keepin' on.
What a little sweetie and what girl doesn't love a desk of her own. I cannot believe all your hard work is lost out there. I wonder if you can find a lot of your pics on pinterest.
I didn't have many of my own pics on Pinterest. I'm really not worried about the photos, as I have those in My Pictures on my computer.
I just know you'll be fine moving forwards, you have the best attitude to all this.
But re. the saved and now gobbledegook posts … is the problem that you need a different programme to open them with?
I just don't know, Annie. And I don't know how to find out.
I like your style Brenda! As horribly frustrating and – yes devastating – it is to have your work disappear, you just keep going. Love that tenacity!
I'm bound and determined to not let this destroy how much I love blogging.
It's so good to see you are up and running again. Not being a blogger, I can't imagine what you've gone through. Hopefully some of your beautiful pics will come back somewhere, but as somebody else said, it's your writing and words we love. We've missed you so much. Now I have my comfortable place to go to first thing in the morning with my coffee.
Well, the posts are gone as far as I can tell. But I'm pretty "wordy" so I shall recreate posts with my photos and the words will keep streaming through.
I missed you very much while you were on your (unintended) break! I am so happy to see you back in the saddle!
Your little grand daughter is so lovely. She must really enjoy her grandma time!
Well I sure enjoy my grandma time! Little girls are so much fun.
Hey Brenda,
Although your pretty pics are gone from your previous blogs, they remain firmly implanted in our memories, as do your wise and wonderful words, since neither can be forgotten by a mere click of a button!
Smile! You have such a sweetie of a grand to keep you COZY!!
xo

Thanks, Poppy, my colorful friend who made me want a yellow/gold background on my blog!
When I first found your blog, about six months ago, I went back and read most every post you had written… I'm so glad that I did! I just love your blog, your photos, and the wonderful words you can match them with. It really is a bright spot in my day. 🙂

Heather, I will miss those posts. They were my life story, as these things usually are. But I guess I can dip back into my memories and recreate them again in a different form.
Well, I think I told you this already…but if you do a search on pinterest…there are tons of YOUR photos all over the place. The links may be dead links…but the photos are there. {hugs}
Moving forward can be hard sometimes.
But…we're still here for ya! and we can move forward together. 🙂 Pat
Yes, we move forward together. We bloggers are a hardy bunch!
Such a cutie pie Brenda!!!! And as always, gorgeous photos!

Thank you. I hate to get people confused. My original URL, http://www.cozylittlehouse.com, is the URL I now can use again.
Your granddaughter is adorable! Love those blue jars too, and your new design, blue and yellow just makes me happy! Happy to be reading your latest posts!! Following on Google +. xo
Thank you, Barbara, for all your support!
I am glad that everything is settling down. Believe me, if I was in Oklahoma, I would have dropped by with flowers. All the comments on my post and those of other people who mentioned your issues are a testament to your place in the blogging world.
Aren't you sweet! Thanks for being my friend.
she's such a little sweetheart. you're right and good attitude…moving forward is the most important part of all of this. and you're welcome, isn't it great to have such a wonderful community of gals?
In a way it is freeing, I suppose. No point in looking backward.
Brenda-Were you not able to get the word out on WP before you left there? Would you like me to leave a link to your blog on my post the first of the week? I would be glad to do so.
That little girl is just adorable. How wonderful that you have a "little" in your life there. Blessings- xo Diana
That would be great. It's back to the original URL. http://www.cozylittlehouse.com
