They Found My Feed!

Guess what I'm squawking about? Godaddy found my original feed! I still can't find my old posts from before I went to Wordpress (about July 2012). But I have Cozy Little House back!
I know. You're thinking: she still only has about five posts. Why's she so darned excited?

Yeah. But after this past 10 days, having my domain back just flat makes me happy.

So, I had them redirect this feed: http://acozylittlehouse.blogspot.com over to http://www.cozylittlehouse.com. You should be able to find me at either. And if you can't, let me know. I'm afraid to be too happy yet.

Know how I found out? I called to ask why my new domain (that I've since turned back over to them), ACozyLittleHouse.com, never came through. And I happened to get this girl on the phone who knew her stuff.

Seems that Godaddy has just hired a whole slew of people. And each and every time I called, which is so many times I couldn't even tell you, I must have got a newbie. Some of them had never even heard of Blogger!

I would say: "Uh, have you heard of Google?" And then when they went to see to something, I'd hang up and try for someone who'd at least heard of Blogger.

My word, I told her she had no idea what they'd put me through. But I had paid for Cozy Little House through 2017, and I wanted it back.

If anyone knows how you can tap back into a blog after going to WP and coming back to Blogger, please tell me. I had this same domain, http://www.cozylittlehouse.com before I went to WP.  I can't figure it out. Maybe I'll never figure it out. But this one thing made me so happy I thought I was going to cry.

At the end of fixing this, which I was sure wouldn't happen and which took quite some time, I asked her what her name was. She laughed a bit of a wry chuckle. "Angel," she said. "My name is Angel."

AND OH BOY, WAS SHE AN ANGEL!

I feel like something in a cartoon. Where a character gets run over by a truck and then pops back up like a jack in the box. What was that? Wiley Coyote?

I don't know. I don't care. I have my Cozy Little House domain/feed back. And that's all that matters at the moment. You have to learn to be thankful for small miracles.

And shoot, I've got to fix my banner back to Cozy Little House.

    1. Shoot, I don't begin to understand it either. I heard a different story from near everyone at that place. My head for the past week has been just swimming with answers that never did make any sense.

    1. Yes ma'am I am! I've taken a real shine to that yellow. I was messing around in the template designer last week, trying to figure out what to do, and I happened to slide it over to that yellow. Boy, it jumped out at me and said: I'm it! I'm just what you need. Bright yellow sunshine!

    1. Annie, that's just what I'm gonna do. Life is short. You've got to squeeze all you can out of it. And if you get lemonade and it's bitter, you've just got to put some sugar in it and soldier on.

  21. Welcome back! I was getting worried about you, as you seemed to have disappeared completely. What a surprise when your page finally appeared after so many fruitless attempts to find you.
I am sorry you have been having such a stressful time with it all.

    1. Well, stress is part of life. It was amazing when my blog magically appeared too. Angel did that. After so many others' attempts failed. And they finally had told me they had no hope of finding the feed again. My heart plummeted.

  22. I'm so happy you're back!!! I'm no techi but, I've tried every way I could to find you with no luck. I couldn't sleep it's 4:28 so I thought I'd try again, YIPPY! Finnally! I'm so sorry for all the aggravation they put you through. It amazes me that company's have people to "help" you that can't really help or that don't know enough to help, very annoying. Still, I'm glad to see you're back I was worried, as I'm sure many of your friends were. ;-> Toni Anne

  24. Hey, Brenda, You don't need men in white coats w/syringes. All we all need is "Angels".

  29. Oh Brenda, I have been praying for this disaster to be over for you, I know how much you love your blog. I can't seem to get you, on Bloglovin' last post coming up for me is 'Strong Winds in Tulsa'. I found you the other day from another blog.

  30. When I type cozylittlehouse.com it does not take me directly to your blog, boohoo, I get all sorts of things, the GoDaddy one, then this one from yesterday which never showed up until today. So now you are on Google Plus? I hate it. I've had nothing but weird people and porn sites coming from it (of course bloggers I know from Blogger, too).

    ReplyDelete
  31. oh, so sorry all this has happened to you. I wouldn't even want to think about losing all my old posts!
did you ever back up your blog when you were with blogger? I did mine before I ever made changes. I also downloaded my content just to be safe. If you ever did that, you should be able to upload it. (I think, I hope!)
