Not Sure How To Decorate Your Walls?

I am getting ready to attempt a gallery wall. A little scary since I just went through the house fixing nail holes.

I have gleaned lots of ideas from the BH&G website to give me inspiration.

A selection of small prints above a desk. Grounds it in place.

This one is very interesting. The metallic look is very much in vogue.

This scenario fits. From the painting on the wall, to the rosemary plant, to the vintage pieces. It just works.

The subway art look is hot right now. And with this lucite table, it is perfection. It divides the long art piece and focuses attention to the things on display without taking away from the art piece.

I love objects printed on book pages, etc. It gives such a unique perspective. And looks wonderful in a kitchen area.

You can't go wrong with a botanical look. It is always popular.

If you have a small galley kitchen, say in an apartment, this is a good way to utilize that back wall. Floating shelves that brings a spot of color and visually unites the two sides.

I adore this one. They have layered the vintage-inspired plant charts upon similar colored paint. This evokes a warm and cozy look you would not see if the walls were perhaps a different paint color.

I have lots of ideas for what I want to put on my freshly painted walls now. Hope you do too.

See you this afternoon for Tweak It Tuesday.

  1. I love gallery walls even though I don't have any in my house. I think if I was doing one, I would use those botanicals that you showed in one of your pictures. I love that look! I know you have some unique artwork to work with so you'll be able to come up with something pretty!

  2. I love gallery walls! I just did one with crates and vintage. Can't wait to see yours!

  3. It'll be interesting to see what you do with your walls - I love the gallery wall look. You can avoid some of the nail holes by using those Command strips.

  4. That first one is definitely YOU!!

  5. My kitchen gallery wall looks like Cracker Barrel. ha I just keep adding to it.

  6. When I see walls like the 2nd one down I know I could NEVER get them lined up that perfectly. I'm more put a nail in here, hang, put another nail in here, hang another! I get so nervous about patching things. Hubby used to do all of that, and now he can't. So it all stays pretty much the same place! I'm seriously thinking about hanging a bunch of my water color flowers I've painted recently in my bdrm, and they will be all different sizes, too! I can't wait to see what you do, Brenda. Whatever it is it will be delightful.

  7. Love the gardening blueprint with the goodies. We just completed a gallery wall upstairs. Fun!

  8. I love those vintage inspired plant charts and the floating shelves in the galley kitchen. Great ideas!

  9. Looking forward to seeing what you decide to do. I think I want a gallery wall above my couch. Haven't decided for sure yet. I need to get a pinterest board going for ideas.

  10. I just put up a gallery wall on my newly painted living room wall yesterday! It took me a whole weekend to paint the wall and trim and put up the gallery wall. I'm still trying to decide if I like it, and I guess I won't know until the whole room is painted which should be around 2016 at the rate I'm going. I found some wonderful examples on Pinterest, too. Have fun creating yours and remember all those extra holes can be filled with spackling! Just saying.

  11. I sincerely hope you are doing a wall full of your photography prints...your outdoor pictures are just wonderful. I am working on one in my bedroom, just some of my favorite photos I've taken. Walgreens website is great and the prints are ready in an hour or they can be mailed. Marshall's had the best prices on frames-$3.99 to $6.99 for 5X7. Have fun!

  12. Can't wait to see what you decide to do Brenda. I love any earthy or botanical. I have never done a gallery wall, are there rules to follow such as how many and balance?

  13. This is a great roundup, Brenda. I've got several walls that need decorating, and I keep changing my mind! Great ideas here.

  14. Hi Brenda, You have such good taste! I'm sure your gallery wall will be fantastic.
