Country Living Holiday Ideas

Well, I got the skinny tree trimmed, but not much else done. So I thought I'd head over to CountryLiving.com and get some inspiration for tomorrow.

What a gorgeous display of transfer ware!

How about hanging stockings on the piano?

Ornaments made from pocket watches.

I really like this multi purpose room with Christmas touches. So cozy.

 A framed velvet wreath.

I think we're all enamored of mason jars right now!

Fun pretties hanging in the windows.

Hanging keys as ornaments.

Or pin cushions.

The nature-inspired look.

Joy in the window.

Candle bling.

Crafty birds in bird cages.

Feeling inspired?

  1. I really like the idea of hanging stockings on the piano. Perfect for people who may not have a fireplace.

Brenda, I emailed you to let you know that I've stopped receiving your blog updates via my email. Also, for some reason, all your past updates have been deleted from my in box. I don't know what's going on! Any idea at your end what might have happened? I'm going to resubscribe but I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this?

  2. Well, I just tried to resubscribe and it said I was already subscribed! Ugh :(

I look forward to reading your daily posts so this is disappointing. If it's nothing at your end, I will subscribe with another email if need be.

  11. Love it, Brenda. I have saved a couple of those ideas too, for my files. I love that one of the transferware and saved it to my files about 3 weeks ago. Hope you have a great night- xo Diana

  12. Your decorating tops anything . The year you did the three trees...gorgeous! Someone should have called the Living editor of the local newspaper.

  16. I empathize with you Maureen.. I've had to think about where I could put things so they wouldn't get broken, chewed or completely destroyed..
Brenda, I know your home is going to look very cozy and Christmasy.. I think I'm just about finished. Just a few more candles, the battery type, my wreath on the door and candles in the windows.
I hear that you're going to get some icy weather.. Be careful !
    Hugs,

  17. Oh, maybe just a little bit! I love that framed velvet wreath. And the simplicity of using little clothespins to hang vintage cards and little pretties from a string of twine. I've been doing some more decorating today, but still tweaking here and there.
