  1. HI Brenda!! Did you read the "book" I just emailed to you???? anyhoo.... I want the all white kitchen with the black counter tops please. Could you ship that to me ASAP!!! Gorgeous!!! Im with you! I hate stainless! Cant stand the fingerprints. When I was at my sons for Christmas I was constantly wiping off all the stainless! It just seems cold to me. I feel like Im in a professional restaurant kitchen !! Just my opinion! I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my dream kitchen!!

  2. Hi. Do you visit the blog retrorenovation.com? It's a great blog focused on homes and décor more or less from the 1940s through 1960s, although sometimes it stretches to the 1930s through 1980s. It's a great source of information on where to find original materials or modern-day replacements, and there are many features on the homes of readers. It's always fun to get a peek into someone's 1960s era kitchen!

  3. I absolutely love the way these retro appliances look! Wonderful colors! Growing up, ours were harvest gold. I don't really like the stainless steel, but I think it's really popular right now.

  6. Well, my stove is 26 yrs old. If it can hang on long enough I guess it may come back in style too!

  7. I have been looking at Big Chill appliances for several years. I love them but we still don't own any and they would look great in our 1940's home.

  8. I've never liked stainless appliances- way to modern looking for my taste! The green appliances could be shipped to my kitchen any time. Love!

  10. I like the way they have mixed in a piece with the existing stainless, etc. For instance, I think that red fridge needs to come live with me!

  12. Love those colors. We are watching and waiting on our appliances to quit completely on us. They are on borrowed time. My kitchen has the off white appliances. The wall paper is French Country and I love it. The question would be what to replace the appliances with. Certainly not stainless.

  13. Brenda, I would take #2, $6, #7 or #8 in a heartbeat. Love that vintage look. You should share these at Every Room In The House. It's a new month-long party I'm hosting, and this month we're partying in The Kitchen. Your post would be great inspiration for everyone. I hope you'll come. Have a great weekend. ~ Nancy

  14. I love these examples, andI love the Big Chill. I wanted one, but they were too wide for my kitchen by a few inches, so I went with a SMEG. I love its retro look and the fun color.
