Today I’m showing you cone flowers, petunias, roses, and daisies blooming in my patio garden.
My patio garden is really growing and filling out. The cone flowers that were supposed to have different colored blooms didn’t have different colored blooms.
But that’s okay. I love the color anyway. It’s sort of a peach, salmon type color. I’ve actually never seen this color of cone flowers before this year.
Cone flowers are expected to be a perennial that comes back year after year. But I haven’t had that kind of luck.
It might be because my cone flowers are planted in containers instead of the dirt. Maybe the cold winter gets to them.
But I typically like to buy one container of cone flowers every year because I love to have them in my garden space.
Petunias:
I don’t know if you can tell by looking at the photo, but my petunias that I thought were white, aren’t all white.
They have started putting out lavender and white spotted petunias, which I was not expecting. But they’re pretty and I love them anyway!
They almost look like laundry that has come out of the wash stained by another garment.
Every spring I buy petunias. Because they bloom and bloom for quite some time.
Roses:
My roses stopped blooming for a few weeks, and now they’re back to work putting out pretty blooms.
There’s just nothing prettier or more romantic than a pink rose. Do you agree?
Daisies:
And what can I say? I adore daisies. Always have. Ever since I was a little girl my favorite flower was a daisy.
I look for various colors of daisies every year to spruce up my spring/summer garden. All kinds of daisies.
Types Of Daisies:
There are many, many types of daisies. Below are just a few.
- Shasta daisy
- African daisy
- Gloriosa daisy
- Marguerite daisy
- Cape daisy
- Indian chrysanthemum daisy
- Gerbera daisy
- Aster daisy
- Desert star daisy
- Curly leaf daisy
- Silver Townsendia daisy
- Florist’s daisy
- Dahlberg daisy
- Oxeye daisy
- Gaillardia daisy
- Coneflower daisy
- Butter daisy
- Painted daisy
- Chocolate daisy
- Swan river daisy
- English daisy
Daisies are such a cheerful flower. And so welcoming. How can you not smile when you gaze at a daisy?
If I was trying to think of a flower that would most welcome you at the garden gate, I’d choose daisies.
That pink Rose looks just perfect!!
Beautiful! I have a coneflower that changes color over time. It came from Walmart and was called a "Tennessee Coneflower." Mine hasn't bloomed yet this year; I'm in Virginia.

Nice flower photos! I get those white-to-lavender petunias every year if I see them at a store. They are one of my favorites. Coneflowers, anything daisy-like, are my favorites, too.
Please, please don't make us wait until tomorrow to see you kitchen….
Your garden blossoms are heavenly, Brenda.
Can't wait for your kitchen reveal, you have worked so hard getting your new home perfect for yourself. : – )
Just lovely Brenda! I had some petunias that were like that at one time.

You are SO good with flowers, Brenda! You should write a book on plant care. I do remember in one of your posts you said you can do more harm by over watering than under watering with plants. I've never forgotten that tip. I can't wait to see your kitchen!!!
Donna
The cone flower is beautiful as are all of your flowers. I know the kitchen will be a knock out!
We are all SO READY to see your reinvented kitchen! Can hardly wait!!
Our Roses were so vibrant and fragrant and full of blooms.
Now… it is bare. The 'hoppers are making a slow comeback
and they usually devour everything! …I'm starting to think its a curse. :/
Looking forward to seeing your kitchen. — Pat

I just love seeing pictures from your garden! The color of the cone flower is very pretty. Kind of a peachy pink on my screen. I've never seen a petunia develop an additional color like that! Very lovely. Really looking forward to your kitchen reveal tomorrow…
