And classic furniture arrangements like this one.

Bold colors energizes the senses.

Potted plants purify the air and lend a nod to nature.

Flea market style coffee tables bring a vintage vibe.

White and bright never looked so beautiful.

Orange paired with shades of blue is very striking.

See you this afternoon for Tweak It.

  2. Brenda,
Where exactly on Better Homes and Gardens did you find the first picture? I have been looking for the exact colours of the slip covers that they are using. I really love that room! Wish I had all those windows.
    Have a great day!

  3. What a bright and cheerful blog post, Brenda, for this drizzling-rain-morning. It feels like FALL with 58 degrees, so I am definitely not complaining! I love the colors in each of the pictures. I hope you have a great day!

    Blessings,

do you know what that kind of chair is called? please. they would be perfect in my living room, so I could change the seat and back cushion , seasonally like I do the ones on the porch.

  7. The pictures you select for your blog are always so beautiful! There's something to love in each one. Our living room and kitchen are very light filled. That's what I love the most about my home!

  8. That is one thing my little rental does not have is good natural light. I love natural light. But, I guess it has other things going for it. I won't be moving anytime soon. My rent is reasonable and I feel comfy cozy in my little home. I love, love, love the orange room.

  9. what a fabulous grouping of rooms ... we will eventually finishing off our lower level where there's our third bathroom and what will also be a "great room," which needs to stay "open concept" because there is only one large window leading in, as well as the light coming down the front stairs and entry. it's to be the all-purpose rec-type room, but also with dining space (or puzzles and games) and plenty of seating (but also sleeping) options ... i've been looking at ways to "brighten up" that deep-set open space, playing off that natural light, so i've been looking at lighter colors versus the heavy leather furniture we have in our upstairs living room, the dark (purples and grays) and heavy vintage oak furniture in our bedroom, etc. and a bit more "pulled together" look than my office/artroom/sanitarium area ... these looks are fabulous, really bright, really pulled together, but also lots of room for personality, mix and match ... definitely saving these ideas!
