Sunshiny Day

Bright sunshine met me this morning. When I let the dogs out, I glimpsed the hummingbird on the hyacinth bean vines. I didn't have my glasses on, so just grabbed the camera and hoped one of the two shots I got came out.

This was the best I could get. They are fast little machines, those hummers.

I was actually cold when I woke this morning. It will be blistering hot by noon I'm sure. But the cool mornings have, I think, begun to move us slowly into fall.

Another surprise this morning was to see a moon flower vine still open in the light of day. They usually only bloom at night. Their blooms are bigger than my hand.

The purple morning glories have wrapped themselves around every tree branch all around me. They climb high up into the trees and you can see a sparkle of bright purple amid the branches.

Have a blessed day wherever you and whatever you plan to do. And I shall do the same.

    1. Thanks. I keep my camera not far from the patio door, just in case a bird stays still a minute!

    1. If I'd had my glasses on, maybe I could have gotten more shots. It would have been gone by the time I went to get them though.

  13. Love the hummer! I can't seem to attract them at home, but I do have many, many butterflies. Hopefully will see some hummers at the cabin we are headed to...saw some when we were here before. Flowers, birds & butterflies are very soothing to me.

  15. Brenda, your eye for beauty and your ability to capture it, amaze me! LOVE seeing your pictures of the flowers and birds. I take my camera out in the backyard and can take hundreds of pictures of our flowers, my hubby always tells me he's thankful for digital cameras...we'd be in the poor house if I had to print all of the pictures I take. Thank you for sharing your life and cozy home with us!
