Mixing Things Up & A Writing Course

So you know I've been bitten by the "Boho bug."

I've gathered ten photos. Five are from BH&G and are a current day blogger's home. Five are from a post on Boho style at Design Sponge.

Let's have a little quiz. See if you can pick which are which. Which photo is from BH&G, and which photo is from Design Sponge?

And after you're looked at photos 1-10 and written down your answer, then go look at the source underneath each photo for the answer.

I think you'll see what I see: that the two styles overlap. Which makes me very happy.

Because I don't want to do away with the look I have. I just want to add to it.

And subtract from it...

And blend the two.

Into my own unique statement.

A plan has begun to formulate in my mind. I can begin to envision what look I want. It won't be totally one style. It will be a combination of three or four.

And in many ways, I'll recycle what I already have.

I'm kind of excited to start the new year and see what happens!

(The BH&G photos are from the Vintage Revivals blog.)
(The others are from Design Sponge)

Another thing I want to mention is that my creative writing course is now open for signing up. It is a course you can do at your own pace, whenever and however you choose. You can check it out here. And I also have it on my sidebar.

  2. I think the best way to describe the Boho look is eclectically casual. You are so talented that I think you can easily achieve the look you're envisioning. I can't wait to see how you do it!

  4. I cannot tell which is which. But I do know what I love in each photo: 1. The orange couch 2. Blue file Cabinet 3. Plants 4. Brown stool 5. Bug photos 6. Headboard 7. Succulents 8. Map.
I cannot wait to see what you come up with.

  8. I missed 3 out of 10... -- I like the Boho style. I've often thought I was an eclectic person living in a farmhouse/cottage. I could live in a loft apartment with plants on every window sill or I could live in the middle of acreage and have swag lamps hanging in my living room! Either way, ... I think I'm slightly bohemian in my decor style. I've just never called it that. ;)

your changes and blending will look good no matter what you do with it!

  10. As you know, Boho with a French Twist as I like to call it, has been my style for a long time. I have a warning for you, though -- once you start this there is no going back! LOL I am already plotting a few changes here and there myself. It will be fun to see what you do!
