Celebrate Valentine's Day With Everyone

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. This year, be prepared. Although the holiday is traditionally marked for sweethearts, it’s a good time to celebrate other types of relationships as well.

For instance, some women may have friends who have been in a recent break-up or have a child who is too young to be thinking about love, but still enjoys the sweet treats and decorative presents.

Valentine’s Day is not just for a woman’s honey, but for every person who she has the honor to love in her life.

For the friend who has experienced a recent break-up, visit Fresh Flowers for Valentines flowers or other gifts. Remind her why she’s a good friend. Remind her of all of her good qualities. When women go through break-ups, some tend to put themselves down. They blame themselves for the things that went wrong in a relationship. While she may have made mistakes, she did the best she could, and she should not feel bad for all the good she contributed to the relationship.

Give her some gifts so she can pamper herself. It will help to ease the pain and reminder of the holiday by receiving some beautiful flowers and gifts from a trusted friend.

Valentine’s Day should be shared with children too. Girls love receiving balloons, heart-shaped erasers, chocolate, candy, teddy bears and other gifts. It’s a day that girls are naturally drawn to for its theme of teddy bears and hearts and the colors of pink and red.

Although boys aren’t traditionally into hearts and teddy bears, they are into a variety of cartoon characters usually, and they definitely love to eat candy. Show boys and girls why they’re so special and how they help to make the family feel complete. Get children special Valentine’s Day greeting cards, little treats, small gifts and let them know how precious and valued they are. They will be happy to be included.

Valentine’s Day isn’t just for romantic love. There are many types of love. There is love for friends, love for brothers and sisters, love for parents and love for children. Show everyone just how they’re appreciated this year on Valentine’s Day.

At the end of the day, all people have are the connections they’ve made. The good times people remember are the ones spent with others. It’s time that people knew what they meant to others. This Valentine’s Day, share the love.

  1. Very well said, Brenda! I think the idea that Valentine's Day is just for couples limits the very notion of love. Like you say, there are so many we love in our lives from friends to children and other family members. Like to think we could celebrate ourselves a little on this day because showing ourselves love is often last on the list.

  2. Very true Brenda..when my son was little we always made our valentines for each other out of various craft supplies we had on hand..they meant so much more than picking a card off a shelf..that banner is so pretty!

  3. Valentine's day is for everyone! I love the first picture. The mantle looks gorgeous decorated for Valentine's day. I don't think it's just for couples. It's for anyone that wants to celebrate the day.

  4. I couldn't agree more that Valentine's day is for everyone! I only started really doing it up for Valentine's Day when my son was little. He still enjoys it (well, the chocolate, anyway). And I love surprising girlfriends with a Valentine's treat.

  5. So true, Valentine's Day is for everyone to celebrate. I've always loved giving cards and little gifts to my two daughters. And this will be my second Valentine's Day sharing this day for love with my sweet, little granddaughter!

  6. Hi Brenda, Yes, Valentines is for everyone. Thanks for sharing the inspirational pics. Love the banner!

  7. Great idea, Brenda. I have a friend that lost her husband about 4 months ago, so I'll be making sure she feels special :)

  8. It is definitely a day where everyone can show their love. xo Laura

  9. What a great reminder! Thank you for this post.

  10. This is a great post! I've always gotten small gifts for my daughter. I know a couple of people who hate Valentine's Day because they don't have a significant other to celebrate with, I tell them to just celebrate in a different way and pamper themselves!
