My Boho-Inspired Bedroom Is Almost Finished

This is some of what I've accomplished in my bedroom. I painted the red sideboard next to the bed orange, as you can see.

The quilt on the bed is identical to the one on my living room wall.

Above the computer is a lap quilt I found at Wayfair, which is where I found the bed quilt, for $29.99.

The blue frames above the bed I found at an antique mall when my friend Kay and I went to Jenks a week or so ago. They were marked down for clearance, so were about $3 a piece.

The great thing is, I didn't have to paint them! They were already a pretty shade of blue.

Yesterday I painted two benches for my house plants. So I have been very busy trying to pull this look together.

Stay tuned. More later!

  10. Brenda, when you paint your furniture, do you sand and prime it first? I think that's what's holding me back from painting mine.

    ReplyDelete

    1. I don't sand. I'm too lazy! I buy a paint with primer in it. I purchased my paint from Ace Hardware, which is close to where I live.

  43. I am showing my age when I say, cool, Brenda, cool. Your bedroom looks great. Did you rearrange the furniture, as well as paint? Our living room in this house was orange and aqua blue in the 70's. I liked it then, and I like it now. My DIL had a rocking loveseat that was orange and pink flowers, I thought it was beautiful, she called it, that old stuff from the 70's. Wish I had that loveseat now.

    1. I think cool is back in vogue! I did a little rearranging. I moved the kitchen table to the window in the living area, and gave that space to my many house plants to take advantage of the light from the patio doors. Will probably be showing that tomorrow.
