New Picmonkey Feature: Dodge & Burn

If you pay for the premium Picmonkey (I think I pay about $25 a year; tax deductible for me) then you can take advantage of every new and exciting feature they regularly introduce to us.

The new Dodge & Burn controls dark and light. You can take a photo and pick out individual parts, and do your magic.

I suggest watching the video, as I just did. It is a tutorial on how to use this new feature.

Picmonkey is my go-to site for editing photos, creating designs and banners, using fonts and overlays on photos, and any graphics I want to use for my blog. I love their many features!

I stopped using Photoshop (which I found complicated) a long time ago, because I have everything I need at Picmonkey.

  1. You mean the premium package for Picmonkey is only a couple of bucks a month? I hadn't even looked because I figured it would be pretty expensive. I love the ease of using Picmonkey and I love this feature you show here. Hmmmm....might be worth it to me to get the "wrinkles" out of myself!!! lol xo Diana

  5. They just sent me the video and I need to go watch. Love my PicMonkey, although the professional photographers in my family want me to use lightroom - I still prefer the P.M.

  6. I use LR most of the time, but ironically if I had to choose between that and PM it would be the later. It is so user friendly and affordable. Up until now, my major issue was it didn't do local adjustments, but it looks like with this feature that is changing, I tried to watch the video when I got the email announcement earlier today but it wouldn't load. I'll try again. I'm excited to see it!

  7. I love Pic Monkey. Use it all the time. Other bloggers prefer Canva. But I found it complicated. I need to check out the paid version. The free version has always worked out fine before but I love the picture on this post. Thank you for sharing! xo
