Sometimes I will get a mason jar and go outside to stroll around the container plants, looking to see what has just bloomed. It is where I gather bouquets from the garden.
I find this to be a really relaxing endeavor. Just walking about and enjoying the view and the scent of my gardens. Listening to the birds up in the trees.
The dogs will do their normal sniffing around, as dogs always do when they go outside.
I take my clippers and choose some blooms.
It’s not a fancy bouquet I end up with. But the perfume is heady and the many colors make me happy.
I end up with this simple bouquet to enjoy indoors, while the plants outside gather their energy to create more blooms.
Sometimes I take the mason jar lid and put a votive candle in it and light it up, simply enjoying the scent of the bouquet mixing with the scent of my candle.
And here is where I can enjoy the view in my little apartment. It is where the simple life is the best life I could dream of.
“I’m an introvert… I love being by myself, love being outdoors, love taking a long walk with my dogs and looking at the trees, flowers, the sky.” – Audrey Hepburn
Exactly Brenda, "just by the satisfaction of it"! And not because it makes a nice photo for the others to see it. Just being ourselves makes de best moments. Hugs.
Isn't it wonderful how the simplest things can bring such joy! I think that's God's way of speaking to our soul, reminding us He is close and always available. Beautiful bouquet Brenda! I love that last shot with all your white pitchers in the galvanized tray…so pretty!
Blessings,
Cindy
A Bohemin bouquet!
A bouquet, a Mason jar, and a walk in the garden with pupsters–heaven!
So pretty!! My favorite thing is to pick some flowers from my yard and put them in a mason jar…and sit them on the kitchen counter by the sink.

Very lovely. I agree with Audrey I prefer solitude and my cat .
A humble garden bouquet will forever be my favorite. Yours is perfect!
The best bouquet are cut from our gardens with the flowers we tend to lovingly. Pretty Brenda, I'm just loving my annual out of the greenhouse now…since its still dipping into the low 40's at night!
Love mason jars filled with pretty flowers. Audrey's quote sums me up nicely. I don't have a dog to walk with me, but I once did.
So pretty Brenda! Love a flower filled mason jar !
So pretty Brenda..Audrey was such a sweet lady..
This is the best kind of bouquets!
These are the best sort of bouquets, Brenda! 🙂

It's perfect. I hope to have a few flowers this year. Maybe I can cut a few. I planted a pot today with caladiums and a potatoe vine. Couldn't find anything flowering to go with it. Maybe next time.
Thanks for sharing.
As always, beautiful flower pics Brenda!
What a lovely post. Your flowers are beautiful.
That's a great way to enjoy your flowers indoors. I like your sweet bouquet! I don't bring fresh flowers inside often enough. Your flower pics are just beautiful.
These would perk me up for sure! That is peacefulness for the soul—just walking around the garden (or patio) and cutting and smelling the heavenly scent!

The mason jar is by far the most loved useful and decorative piece by us all.Your garden blooms look stunning in it. The lid for the candle is perfect to complete the vignette. Your photography is amazing. Just beautiful.
Love the Audrey Hepburn quote.
Hope you have a great holiday weekend! 🙂
Hugs!
Mason jar bouquets are just the prettiest! I love doing the same in my garden. Sweet little flowers. We are getting buckets of rain here in OKC, but on a positive note the lakes are full! Have a great week and Memorial day weekend.
Simple is always best. Such a pretty bouquet. xo Laura
Very sweet bouquet, Brenda. Great quote. If it's true that we introverts don't live as long as very social folks, I don't care! :O) I find enjoying solitary pursuits highly fulfilling. Bess
I love a few flowers in a mason jar, something about it is just so pleasing.

Your's is a sweet bouquet, Brenda.
Very Pretty! It's the little things just like you described that makes me happy too.
A pretty bouquet from your own garden and a candle to enjoy, all part of enjoying the moment you live in, that's the good life.
Isn't it nice to know that Audrey Hepburn was an introvert too? I'm glad to be in her company.
That is a lovely way to spend a bit of time, Brenda. You like the same things I do on so many levels. I think simple things like a walk with some snippers are part of a wonderful well-lived day- xo Diana
Very pretty! I love this time of year when you can get cuttings from the yard.
Your flowers are so very pretty. Yours must be ahead of mine, here in southwest Virginia. You can take the simplest thing and make it so neat and interesting. I too have to have my alone time.
That's lovely Brenda. Do you know what I can do about all the snails in my yard? They are eating my flowers and I want them to go bye bye.
Big Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
I've got the darned things too. Only way I know of is to pour beer into bowls or buckets or whatever and leave out and let the little uglies go for it.

Brenda, beautiful bouquet from your garden!
Such a pretty vignette! I think that cutting flowers to enjoy is one of the greatest reasons for growing them. Enjoy those beautiful blooms. Looks like a relaxing spot to unwind… and read a book! Speaking of – I've taken your advice, and I am starting a book today. I'm determined!
