With the hot summer months, I've felt like lightening things up a bit. I love the photo above from BH&G. It just lends a feeling of softness and fun with all the perky bright colors.
I've been thinking about getting more of my quilts back out. Is it time for a changing of the quilts.
I love all the many colors I have in my home. But I miss that homey feeling that my homemade quilts lent to the space.
What do you think? Love the bohemian look? Or should I bring back some of the cottage look to my decorating theme? I'm all ears!
This photo reminds me of a beach house for some reason. There's no nautical decor. But just gives me that seaside feeling.
Love the multi-colored floral chair. And the neutral sisal rug to balance things out. Checks have always been a favorite of mine.
This room has a whimsical look with the bright pillows and funky chair. A little bohemian. Love the striped rug.
This room is more country cottage, I think. Of course when you bring the furniture close together, you create a feeling of coziness.
This room has a more patriotic theme to it. An early country look. I like the ottoman used as a coffee table, and what looks like a rug to me spread over it to add color.
This room reminds me of flea market finds somehow. The dog seems to be quite happy with the puffy pillows to sleep on.
This furniture arrangement seems more formal. I always like seating across from one another. The coffee table is a fun piece.
So what do you think about my space? Should I shake things up a bit? Let me know in the comments.
