Rain & Pupster Problems

Poor little anemone bowing its pretty purple head in the rain we got today. For a little while, it really came down.

10 Decorating Ideas For Apartment Dwellers

Let's say you're moving into an apartment. When you go take a look at it, it seems terribly generic and without any personality (unless you've got boat loads of money and can afford the fanciest).

How can you take a generic apartment and make it appealing and a place you will love to live in?

1. Living Rooms
Bring in your furniture. Get it arranged. Then accessorize. Your accessories are what defines your personality.

Deciding On Decorating Style & Colors

There's a decorating style for everyone. You just have to figure out which one you like most. You want to feel relaxed and content in your home. You want it to reflect your personality, and you want people to feel comfortable there.

Let's look at some spaces.

5 Inspirational Small Apartment Patios

For those that reside in apartments, and are lucky enough to have a small patio or terrace, decorate those spaces to extend the living space of your small abode.

Wednesday On The Patio

Israel got my periwinkle raised garden from Gardener's Supply put together. I got some of that stuff you unroll to keep weeds from growing and he layered it around all sides and the bottom to keep the soil from seeping out.

Patio Gardening 101

Some of us have to garden on our patios. Whether because of injury, disability, or preference, here are some great patio gardens you can create.

With container gardens, you can get the soil just right. You pretty much eliminate weeds, having to dig in hard dirt, and the stress to your back.

I think container gardens are great options for a patio or any place else you might want to garden.

For apartment dwellers, they are perfect.

New Desk & Lamps Via Wayfair

I am so grateful to be a part of Wayfair Homemakers Program. First of all, I've always considered myself a "homemaker", even when it wasn't such a popular term.

I've always felt that keeping the home fires burning and raising children was perhaps the most important career of all. Even when others didn't think of this as a vocation.

I love everything about home and garden. Tending to chores. Organizing. Creating gardens. I think I was just born to be a homemaker! Making quilts and decorating.

With Wayfair, each month I get to choose two items from their list for myself, gifted from them to me as part of their program.

Last week I received my choices for March:

I got the knobs painted and things dried faster than I thought they would. So here is my kitchen...

What Little Boys Do

Andrew will be two years old in a few weeks. Growing like a weed, that boy is. He wants to be outside all the time. He's not interested in what is indoors.

I suppose little boys just want to be out in the sunshine discovering the world.

Woodward Park

It's been raining on and off all day. The skies have been gray since yesterday. Occasionally, I hear a crackle of thunder. I don't know why, but I love the sound of thunder.

My daughter and I took Andrew to Woodward Park on Saturday. I'll show you some of the park today, and more of Andrew tomorrow.

Six On Sunday 3/6/16

I've been traveling all over Blog Land to see what everyone has been up to this week while I've been taping and painting and creating a GianiGranite counter top.

Here were my favorites:

Botanical anything just call my name. And they look so pretty in this room.

Patio Snaps

I swear I think the plants on the patio are growing by the hour. Now I just hope we don't get a hard freeze.

Assembling A Terrarium

Terrariums have come back into vogue in a big way. There are hanging terrariums, all shapes of terrariums.

Today I'm going to assemble one gifted to me from Gardener's Supply Company. All opinions are of course my own.

If you wish to get your own, here's where you can find this terrarium.

Sanding, Painting, Overall Chaos

The birds are chirping in the trees. The tree branches have buds on them. And I can hear the sound of wind soughing in the tree tops.

It's pretty warm here in Oklahoma.

Yet Another Kitchen Redo In Progress

I've been one very busy girl the last three days. I have applied the GianiGranite that they so kindly sent me to try. And now am working on the top coats.
