From My Window...

This is my view of the patio from inside...

On the right is the table where I eat. On the left is my desk.

I am enjoying my new view immensely.

This is my view from my bedroom window.

Even though I have only a few windows, I try to make sure that what I see out of them is something that makes me smile.

NOTE: I have been getting emails asking for the link to my gazebo. Here it is.

  6. I love that big asparagus fern. I have one on my patio, too, sitting in a big terra cotta pot. It apparently loves it's home as it is sending out shoots.

  8. Brenda,
Can you tell me the dimensions of your cover here and your rug? I looked on the Wayfair site, but couldn't tell if it was the same one you had or not. This is just amazing and one of the absolute BEST things I have see you do so far. All your projects are inspiring and always turn out GREAT but this is by far your very best one yet. I would never want to go inside. I can't wait to see the water feature that you mentioned was coming, in a previous post. You are simply amazing and your talents are infectious. Makes us all want to go out and try something new. Thank you SO much for all that you do to brighten our days.

  9. Hi Brenda! Oh, what a pretty view. I love the calm green tint your awning puts on your shady spot! I just can't wait to hear how much you're going to enjoy this! I would love a cover on our deck so we could sit out in the rain! I'll bet this cover will even keep this area cleaner! ;) Take care and have a nice weekend.

  10. Your view is wonderful! You succeeded in bringing the outdoors inside for some nature therapy. What is the name of that vine with the white flowers? I grabbed one at HEB last weekend, but the tag came off and I don't know anything about it other than it is pretty. Any info you can provide will be greatly appreciated!

  13. Brenda, the green colour of your garden room is so beautiful. It is such a refreshing colour. You'll surely enjoy it once your days heat up.

All your pictures of the views from your window are lovely, too. I probably love the spring season the most because all the new growth on the plants looks so perfect. No insects have had a chance to start chewing on the leaves to create little holes. And of course, that beautiful shade of green!!

I'm cautiously waiting to head out the front door this morning. I'm counting on having my first daffodil bloom! Just can't wait!! I hope I'm not disappointed.

  14. It's a beautiful view Brenda and I love the bright colors. I am a big fan of hostas. We have a lot of them in my garden. They came from my mom's house and she got them from my aunt...who may have even gotten them from their mom. Split, dig and done! Now that's my kind of gardening! Enjoy your patio view this weekend! :)

  24. I love it! I think it's so important to have an outdoor space that brings a tranquil feeling. My first gazebo had a very long life and I plan to pick up another one before the weather gets too warm. Love the green.

  25. Your outdoor space looks wonderful, Brenda. Hubby and I were just looking at a gazebo much like yours. I've been wanting one for our patio which gets a lot of hot sun during the day. You will enjoy the outdoor room so much this summer and the view from inside is beautiful too.
