The other day I was in Hobby Lobby. I’d gone there for that week’s half price picture frame sale.
And I happened upon a big green bottle in the Clearance aisle. It was $4.
There was a smaller one for $2. They had a pretty texture on the outside. I ended up getting them both. For a total of six dollars!
The green jars were stored in my apartment for a week or so. I hadn’t yet figured out what to do with them.
An Idea Came To Me:
Then an idea struck me.
I had some LED tiny strung lights. What about putting the lights in the bigger jar, I thought to myself.
So I got the LED tiny lights out and pushed them into the opening of the large green jar.
Then I decided to put it in the bedroom next to my bed. I read on my Kindle at night.
So it’s quite nice to have these tiny lights twinkling in the background while the rest of the room is dark.
So they sparkle in my bedroom until I’m ready to put my Kindle away and go to sleep.
When I purchased these two green jars, I didn’t know what I was going to do with them.
But I just knew I’d find something special to use them for. Something decorative and pretty.
Putting them in the large green jar was the perfect thing to do with the tiny lights.
Tiny Lights In A Jar In My Bedroom:
I tend to enjoy an episode of whatever TV show I’m currently watching after I take my shower at night.
This is after supper is eaten and I have all the kitchen chores done. And the dogs are fed and cared for of course.
Then I lie in my bed to read in the hours before bedtime. Abi and Charlie trail after me into the bedroom. They get on the bed and peacefully snooze beside me.
These tiny lights create just the right ambiance.
How cute! I have some of those tiny lights on my mantel right now, and I love them. Last night I watched a movie with just my little accent lights and candles on, and the house was quiet and peaceful. Heaven!
Pretty and cozy.
Love that color of green and it looks so soft and cozy…… where we would get those LED lights when it's not the holidays? Does Hobby Lobby have them year round? Love this idea for in the house… I also like the idea for outside when sitting out in the dark on a nice warm evening.
Very pretty Brenda! I have a larger clear bottle in my dining room with twinkle lights in it too! I love the cozy feeling it gives off… reminds me of lights on the Christmas tree :o)

Beautiful! I would probably keep mine on all night in case I had to get up for anything, I have a bad habit of tripping over my own two feet.
Wow, I just love this idea. It looks beautiful and it's perfect for reading at night.
I always love seeing your decorating ideas!
Great idea, Brenda and the perfect ambiance! Happy Summer! Pam @ Everyday Living
Love this. I am always attracted to glass jars when I go shopping, sometimes not knowing what I will do with them I buy them anyway. Great idea on using the lights inside! Like little fireflies.
Hi Brenda, I love the look! I also love to put lights on everything Im notorious for that. Lisa@ Sweet Tea N' Salty Air
Very pretty! I love subtle lighting around the house at night and this is just perfect.
I like that Brenda. 🙂
I love this idea and glowing lights are lovely…….
I love this look, the cut glass really adds to the sparkle! 🙂
I did something similar in my living room. It serves as a much prettier night light if anyone should roam the house in the middle of the night.
I love tiny lights. What a wonderful idea to add extra coziness to your bedroom!
This is so great Brenda. How pretty and peaceful to have that at night.

What a fun idea. I love low lights and I guess that's why I love to leave my Christmas tree up so long. This is a great idea! Ambiance!
I've been known to leave my Christmas tree up until the end of February for that very reason!
